"You get tired? What do you mean, what's the metaphor" I asked

"When you run after a long time your body gets tired and you slow down, well guess what. Right when you get tired then your body won't have the strength to continue, that allows whatever is chasing you to catch up even quicker and then when it reaches you, you will have no strength to fight it" He said

It finally hit me, he was right. If I continue running from what he.....no what I did, it will always catch up to me when I get tired. If I turn around and fight it head on, I can be able to deal with it.

"I get it now!" I cried

"It's like the old saying If you don't lie, you won't have anything to worry about" He said "I love that saying because it says that in pure truth, if you never lie, you won't have to worry about that person finding it out and everything going to chaos"

"Yeah, that makes sense" I said

"Stop trying to run away from something you can't escape and face it head on" he said

"Thank you for everything. I'll try" I said

"Now leave I'm a busy man" He said smiling

"Right! Thanks for the time" I replied

"OH YEAH!!" He yelled "I will be seeing you at school now, they enrolled me so expect to see me in some classes"

"Awesome, I'll see you there" I said, exiting the building.

He sighed and started writing down everything that had happened and then with a creepy smile he said "Dash, sounds like I have a new project to work on"

I turned around.

"A new project?" I asked

He looked surprised as if I wasn't supposed to hear that and then he got up, I suddenly felt like something wasn't right. I proceeded to leave, but he was quick he slammed the door shut and looked me in the eyes "Going somewhere" he growled

"Josh? What are you doing?" I asked

He just looked at me in utter silence that felt like an eternity then he said in a deep un human-like voice "I cannot let you leave"

"Why can't you?" I asked, feeling a chill going down my spine.

He just smiled and grabbed something from his pocket, I couldn't tell what it was, but whatever it was it was sharp. He lunged at and I had barely any time to react, I felt something graze my side and I felt a burning pain continue afterward. I felt my fear shoot through the roof

"Josh! What are you doing" I screamed

He didn't say anything, all he did was let out this shrieking cry and then everything went black. I woke up right there on a bench next to the school.

"W.....what happened" I thought

Was that a dream? It felt so real though, I pulled out my phone to check the time and it was 7:45 the day after I went to Josh's.

"It's already been a day?" I thought

Was it because I said that I did what happened on Ascension Island. I instantly felt dizzy and almost fell over.

"Welp guess I'm in no mental state to accept what happened yet" I said

I kept thinking back to what Josh said at our meeting.

"When you run after a long time your body gets tired and you slow down, well guess what. Right when you get tired then your body won't have the strength to continue, that allows whatever is chasing you to catch up even quicker and then when it reaches you, you will have no strength to fight it"

I need to keep fighting the past, so I can hopefully accept it someday. I was laying on a bench outside of school, so I got up and walked inside.
