Chapter Seven : The Superpower Investigation Bureau

When I walked in the lobby, I was hit with the smell of freshly cooked food.

"This is way out of my league" I said, shaking my head

"Hey Dash!" A man called from a booth

My stomach did a summer salt. I assume that was the director, and if he wanted him. He got the wrong person. Everyone was looking at me and pulling out their phones. I hung my head low and made it over to the man that seemed to be the director and sat down.

"Hello, I'm the director of the SPIB, we talked over the phone" The director said, holding out his hand.

I shook his hand.

"Rick, and could you I don't know......NOT say that name" I said

"Why not, that's who you are" The director said

"No I'm not!" I said

"Oh! I understand what's going on. Yeah, I'm sorry.......Rick" The Director said

"Yeah it's doesn't take rocket science to figure out who someone is and isn't," I said

"Anyway, take a seat," The Director said

I sat down in the expensive booth, the director sat on the other side.

"Oh and get anything you want on the menu, the food's on me," The director said

I opened up the menu and I almost dropped it at what I saw. The food here was at a price range of 1,000 to 50,000 dollars.

"Uhhhh.......I'll"

I stopped myself before continuing.

"The Golden Phoenix Cupcake, the Swallow's nest soup, and Japanese Wagyu Steaks," I said

I almost forced myself to leave, as the price for my food was 4,450 dollars in total, and that doesn't even include tax.

"Those are good choices, would you want anything to drink?" The Director asked

I looked at the menu, I was already high with a price, so I guess I can't stop here.

"I'll' take the Black Ivory Coffee with some creamer," I said

"Nice choice" The Director

A waiter came by and asked what we wanted, the Director told them what him and I wanted and the waiter nodded before walking away to get our food.

"Anyway, let's get down to business," The Director said

"Yeah, what do you. A stranger, have for me" I asked

"It's about........the doctor you fought" The director

"You mean the businessman, the one he killed," I said

"Yes, a person I know who has access to what they have told me that there are me people involved" The Director said

Fear hit me like a tsunami, I got up, but immediately fell on the ground. My breathing got more and more severe.

"Rick! Rick! Stay with me" The director said

My vision was starting to blur, the man I killed, no. HE killed wasn't the only one there was. There were more people out to kill me and Abby and he was gonna help them. I can't take it, I can't afford to see a person I care about to die at the hands of him.

"Rick! Calm down" cried The Director

I looked up at him. I took deep breaths, in through the nose, and out the mouth.

"I.......I'm sorry, didn't mean to have a panic attack," I said

"God what happened to you must have had more of an impact then I thought," The Director said
