Johnny sure could run fast when he wanted too. But I wasn't worried about that, I was just worried about his state of mind.

We ran for a good 5 minutes, before he came to a sudden stop, and dropped onto the ground.

"Johnny! Are you okay?!" I asked frantically, rushing over to his side.

"I-I don't know man! K-Kerri can't be dead! She j-just can't!" He sobbed. "It's all my fault!" He yelled.

"Come on Johnny. It ain't none of our faults. She chose to save you. Let's go home." I said sympathetically, he didn't say a word, he just let me pick him up and drag him to my house.

"Where have you been?!" Darry yelled. I'm not about to go down this road again. His face softened when he saw Johnny.

"Pony. What happened?" He asked, his eyes full of worry and curiosity.

"Kerri's dead. She told us to stay gold. Dal' is staying with her. He didn't wanna leave her. I saw him cry man." I said frantically. Johnny just plopped on the couch and started to bawl, while Soda came up to me.

"She's in a better place now Pony. We all loved her. She's always been apart of the gang. Since Day 1." Soda pulled me into a hug.

"She'll always be in the gang. Even up there." Steve joined in the hug. Then Two-Bit, then Darry, then eventually Johnny. It stayed like that for a while. A silent hug. Before the phone rang.

"I'll get it." Darry spoke up, squeezing his way out of the hug and over to phone.

"Hello." Darry said into the phone. They exchanged words for a moment, before Darry hung up with a smile lathered on his face.

"Why're you so happy man?" Johnny sniffled.

"Cause. Dally just called. He wants all of us to come to the hospital." Darry replied.

"I don't wanna go man. I can't." Johnny said sadly.

"Well I'm gonna make you. Let's go." Darry said, throwing Johnny over his shoulder and out the door. What made me laugh was Johnny just let it happen.

We drove in Darry's truck. The ride there was cramped and quite. I could tell we were all lost in thought. Probably about why Dally wanted us to come back to the hospital, knowing Kerri is already dead.

But when we got there. Dally was outside, with a huge smile. Why? His sister just died.

We all walked over to him, besides Johnny who was thrown over Darry's shoulder, and bombarded him with questions. But he only answered with a "you'll see."

We all walked into the hospital quietly and patiently for Dally to open his trap. We just walked to Kerri's hospital room. I knew exactly what was going on.

Kerri's POV
I laid patiently on my stomach and looked at myself in the mirror, for the gang to show up. I began to hear multiple familiar voices and knew they were outside the door.

Dally hushed everybody up, and brought them into the room. He had a smile plastered across his face.

"Heya Kerri, the gangs here." He said happily.

"Hi y'all." I gasped. I was still in excruciating pain. But I was alive, and that's all that mattered.

"Your alive." Johnny chocked out. Tear stains were visible on his face. A smile grew on mine.

"Yeah... I'm alive... Johnny-c-cakes." I said.

"H-how?" He asked in a trembling voice, walking closer to my bed side.

I looked over to Dally and motioned for him to tell the story for me. He just nodded his head and gave me smile.

"Well you see, Kerri kinda did die. But the doctors took action pretty fast. Man, they revived her within 5 minutes after you left. That was one of the scariest moments of my life." He let out a small chuckle, than looked at me.

"You okay Kerri?" He asked sympathetically.

"I-I guess. I just wanna go home." I said as a tear rolled down my face. But I knew I didn't have a home to go to, and that this was a touchy subject for Dal' but it kinda just came out.

"Well about that," Darry said with a smile. "your gonna live with us. Soda, Pony, and I. Dally and I have been talking about it for a while." That surprised me, but it also filled my heart with joy.

Home wasn't just where Dallas was. It was where the gang was, my gang. And I was going home.

The end
