When I came back from the funerals, I was devastated, her parents talked to me briefly and I know that what happened was horrible more for them than for me. The mureder theory was confirmed at the morgue, I don't understand who would do that to an innocent girl. She was my sister, my family, and now she's gone forever. She would always smile and make me smile when I was down. We were complete opposite, I was broken and she was happy, I would always wear black clothes and just to bother me she would wear those bright colored clothes or flower dresses that I hated but it would suit her. She never wore make-up because, well, she didn't need it and also she would rather sleep than waste time doing her make-up. She was my rock and I don't know what I'm going to do without her.

Suddenly someone knocked at my door, I didn't want to see anyone. When I opened the door Wyatt was here, I let him in.

"Are you okay?" he asked

"Do I look okay? My bestfriend is dead and the last time we spoke we had an argument. So no, I'm not okay" I screamed

"I'm sorry, it was a stupid question" he answered

"I'm sorry I yelled"

"Why were you not wearing black at the funeral?"

"It's funny, Leah always said that she hated when people would wear this color at funerals" My smile suddenly vanished when I realized how would he know that?

"How do you know I was not wearing black?"

"I was just passing by the cemetery, to see if you were okay"

I smiled, he was weird and seem be coming from outer space but he was a good friend.

"I have to find who did this to her, will you help me?"

"Sure, we can start by the house where she was that night"

"The sorority! yeah good idea"

The next morning we left for the house, we searched around the house and we split up to be faster.

"Hey I know you" someone screamed behind

"What?" I asked confused

"What's up?"

"Were you there two weeks ago at the party?"

"I don't remember, there's a party every night, maybe you remember" It was three pm and he was already drunk, I showed him a picture of Leah and asked him if he had seen her?

"Nope, I don't know who this is" he said and left

I followed the path that led to the forest and the lake behind the house, I walked for ten minutes and there was nothing there. I looked at the lake and there was another path behind the trees in my right, I walked for five minutes and realized it was a short cut that led to other houses. I turned around and Wyatt was there.

"I didn't know this way"

"Me neither"

When I went to school the next day, everyone was looking at me, and everyone was whispering.

"Don't listen to them" Wyatt appeared behind me.

"I'm not, I don't care what they say, I lost someone, again, this is none of their business"

At the end of every class, teachers wanted to talk to me, but I grieved and moved on, I'm not sad anymore, she's gone and now I want to find who did this

I continued my reaserch whith Wyatt every day, but nothing, I had nothing so I decided to go to one of their parties. I just put a black dress and boots on, we could hear the music from outside the house and as I expected it was chaos inside the house, the music was loud, they were people everywhere barging into me, some were making out on the table of the kitchen as if they were alone. It smelt like alcohol, this smell that I hated so much.

I searched the house to find anything that could lead me to Leah's murder, I asked people if they had seen her but no one knew, they just came here, got drunk, made out and left and it's the same over and over every night.

But there was nothing, no one saw her, it's like she disapeared, vanished or never came here, Wyatt was in my car waiting for me.

"How did you get in?" I said while sitting in my car, he was staring at me.

He wasn't really chatty but I was used to it, he was like me in a way, I don't know much about his life, but I know that inside there is darkness just like me.

Sometimes it was diffcult for him to be expressive, like he was not there, just a ghost next to me, that would appear out of nowhere when I needed him, especially since her death.

I didn't know where he was born, where he was living, if he had a family, but we had a special relationship not in a romantic way because that wasn't the case here but a relationship where we could count on each other, like today when he helped me looking for Leah's killer.

The police are already investigating but I know they are slow and they forget to search in obvious places like the party where she was or even come and talk to me, they didn't ask me about her, where she was, and who she was with in the last few days.
