"Sweetie, your grandmother isn't feeling very well. Can you please take this cake that I baked for her and some fresh butter and these flowers and go over to visit her? I'm sure she would love to see you. And don't forget to take some apples." My mom told me.

"Sure mom." I smiled and skipped up stairs to get my black cloak that grandma made me.

I grabbed my Blue iPhone 5c and slipped it into the pockets of my purple denim high waisted shorts before clipping up my hair and sliding the black cloak over my shoulders, lifting the hood to cover my face.

I headed out the front door and set off into the woods.

After about half an hour of walking through the dark woods I reached grandma's house- mansion.

I rang her doorbell and politely waited on her doorstep.

The door opened and once grandma saw it was me, a smile lit up her wrinkled but beautiful face. Her blue eyes sparkled with joy as she engulfed me in a hug.

I inherited my ocean blue eyes and blonde hair- that falls in perfect, natural ringlet- from her.

(A/N: I know the chick on the front cover has brown hair but this girl has blonde.)

“Come in! Come in!” She ushered me inside her home.

“I heard you were feeling a bit sick, Granny?”

“Yes sweetheart but it’s only a cold.” She smiled warmly at me.

“I brought you some butter, apples, flowers and a cake mom baked for you.” I lifted the cloth of the basket, revealing the goods.

“Thankyou, sweetheart. Just take a couple of apples with you to eat on your way home.” She said putting a few apples back in the basket.

I pulled the hood off my head, letting my blonde hair fall in curls around my face and down to the top of my backside.

My hair is really long and is a very light blonde. I always straighten it for school and just when I will be seeing people, that is why most people think my hair is straight or only slightly wavy. Grandma says she prefers my hair in its natural curls.

“I must be going now Granny, it is dark now and I want to leave before it gets any darker.” I told her, standing up and heading to the door.

“Okay, stay safe.” She hugged me once again before I headed out into the woods.

I walked the path that was faintly lit by the moonlight.

After a few minutes of walking, I heard rustling coming from some bushes in front of me.

“Who’s there?” I asked in a soft voice, I barely recognised it as my own.
