"See ya later, best friend." Hunter grinned at me as he pulled out of my drive way and out onto the road, driving back to his house.
Best Friend. The dreaded words that practically scream Friend Zone.
I can't help these feelings. I can't help that I am in love with the boy who has been my best friend since diaper. I can't help but fall more in love with him every day.
I have loved him since the day I lost my frist kiss to Hunter.
*8 Years Old*
"Cacia, come here!" Hunter yelled to me from across the playground.
I ran over to him, a toothy smile on my face and my light blonde pigtails swinging over my shoulders.
"What's the matter, Hunt?" I asked, seeing half of our school friends gathered around us.
"They don't believe that I would kiss you." He smirked, coming closer.
My eyes were as wide a saucers and my cheeks were probably red.
"KISS! KISS! KISS!" They all chanted.
Hunter placed a hand behind my neck, slowly pulling my face to his. I saw his eyes close, involuntary, my eyes fluttered close too.
He brought his lips to meet mine. He kissed me passionately. Well it was passionately enough for eight year olds. And even for an eight year old, he was an amazing kisser.
Ever since I lost my first kiss to Hunter Wolfe, I have been madly and utterly in love with the guy I now call my best friend.
