About three days had passed and she was missing Kev and V more than ever, she wasn't allowed to see them and the situation was killing everyone involved. "It's eleven" she whispered as she looked at the clock in-front of Mandy's bed. "I know, you don't have to tell me the time every half hour" Carl said groggily before laughing lightly. "Sorry, I just miss Kev and V so much. What if I never go back there ?" she asked worried as he shook his head. "They won't let that happen, they love you too much" he said before slinging his arm over her waist and drifting off to sleep. She, of course, thought he was still awake and listening to her.

"I still remember when I moved I . V said it was a shithole but also then said that the shithole was my home then we ordered fried chicken and Kev took me to the park. He taught me how to play football and then before I knew it I was working the ice cream van with him and Lip" she said as her eyes teared up, it hurt remembering everything thinking it was all gone. "I love Mickey and Mandy I do, I love all my siblings but here isn't my permanent home. Maybe it was for a few years but not really" she said as the tears began streaming down her face. "Carl" she whispered but she got no answer. "Carl" she said while shaking him but he was asleep. "Fuck you then" she whispered as she moved his arm and got out of bed. She walked to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water which caused Mike who was sleeping on the couch to wake up, startled. "Jesus. I thought we were getting robbed" he said as he sat up and rubbed his eyes, she just shrugged. "Maybe I am a burglar. What are you doing here anyway ? I thought you were just a friend of Iggys stopping by" she said while walking over.

"I am a friend of Iggy's, correct but I'm crashing here for a few nights" he said through a shrug as she nodded. "Same" she said blankly before laughing. He was confused but kept quiet. "So, where did you meet Igor then ?" she asked confused as she sipped from her glass of water. "I-uh-I live in a group home but I hate it there. I've been sleeping on the streets a majority of my time being in the system. I committed a small crime, arson but nobody was killed so I got five hundred hours of community service, I met Iggy through that" he explained, it was enough for her. "How do you know Iggy ?" he asked while smiling, he didn't know what he was expecting, maybe a lover, another community service friend like he was, he just didn't know. "He's my brother" she said while laughing, all he could do was raise his eyebrow, he didn't expect it so he was confused. Iggy was a closed book but he thought he'd met all of his siblings. "I think you need to tell me this story" he said as she stood up. Got two beers and sat next to him.

"I'm the youngest Milkovich. There's Jamie, Joey, Iggy, Mickey, Mandy and me. Mom wanted the ee sound at the end of her names because she was Shelley and my dad is Terry. They were a great couple until my mom was diagnosed with cancer when I was three.

I lived with my grandma, my sister went to our aunt and the boys stayed here. It was so stupid, I know, Dad was just starting to become an arrogant drunk but she thought it would toughen them up. Again. Stupid. But all she knew. Grandma dropped me back here when I was about four and a half just before mom died. Then I was sent to live with my foster parents Kev and V a few months later so I can relate to the system thing. Ive been there ever since, was sent to jail for smuggling drugs with that idiot in my bed and I apparently tried to shoot someone, his nephew. Full disclosure, I didn't. I got four years in prison but only served two. I got shived and beat up too many times and now I'm trying to get away from my boss. He's not letting me go without a fight because I was his top seller. Now, he told told DCFS that I gave him my foster mothers medicine cabinet for supplies and I'm supposed to live here until they re-evaluate them" she said as Mike took a long swig of the beer. "Fuck" he whispered as she nodded.

"Is that guy, like your boyfriend or ?" He asked as she took a sip of her beer before speaking. "We've been best friends for forever honestly. I've liked him for forever too but if you tell him that then I'll have to kill you. He thinks it's only been a few years. Um. We kissed on the day of our trial. We act like a couple to annoy his ex girlfriend and he says were just friends who like to kiss and stuff" she said as the boy shook his head. "He shouldn't do that to you if he knows how you feel" he whispered as the girl shrugged. "It's whatever I guess" she said as the door burst open and Kev was standing there with a rifle.

"Kev" she shouted as he waved. "Oh hi Missy. I'm here to save you" he said as she stood up. "Save me ?" she said while chuckling. "You don't want to be here. I know you don't and if I don't get you out now, you'll be here forever because your social worker doesn't care enough to do that re-evaluation" he said as she stayed silent. "Go get Mickey" he said to Mike who ran into Mickeys room. The man came out in nothing but a vest and underwear. "Could this not have waited ? Why are you killing the dealer now ?" he said while rubbing his eyes as Kev pointed the gun at him. "Give me Missy back" he said while putting the gun against Mickeys chest. "You better do yourself a favor and put a bullet in my chest. Otherwise your in serious shit and I'll get Missy. Permanently" he spat as Missy felt like screaming.

She loved Mickey, of course she did but she didn't feel safe in the house without Mandy especially when there were people like Mike in and out all of the time, they just weren't always as nice as him. There wasn't a homely atmosphere in their house, the attitude was that it was every man for himself and as much as Mickey could show he knew how to look after her and that he cared, it was never going to be permanent. He was nothing but a kid himself, just twenty years old. He could try and respect his mothers wish of looking after Missy but it could only go so far especially when he rarely saw her on their visit to them every second Saturday. At Kev and Vs it was the opposite. She could call it her home and it was as simple as that.

"Permanently" She said while gulping as he nodded. "Thought you wanted to come home ?" he said as she shrugged. "You don't ?" he asked confused as she looked down. "Thank fuck" he said relived, he was covering something, she knew that. "Did you honestly think I was going to play mom to you" he said through a laugh but she could tell he was hurt, he would've if he had to, she knew that too. "It's not that I don't want to Mickey" she said through tears as he nodded. "I get it" he said while nodding. "You got what all of us wanted, you got that ticket out. To be honest I'm jealous so get out of here you little shit" he said while sniffing back tears as she ran into the bedroom. "Carl" she said while hitting him and he immediately woke up. "I'm going home" she whispered as he smiled, relieved

"You honestly are a good kid Missy, better than any of us were" Mickey said while nodding as she nodded back. "This isn't goodbye, I'll see you in a few days" she said through a laugh as he nodded. "Yeah, I-I know that but it's just weird, you don't expect to start caring about your colossal bitch of a kid sister.  That night you got arrested, I genuinely was going to take you to Mexico. Y'know I guess I just didn't see what Mandy saw in you and that's my fault. So um. Ever have any shit. You come to me and I'll beat the shit out of whoever it is. I'll sort that G-Dog out for you. Go to work tomorrow. And you'll see" he said as she smiled. She didn't expect Mickey to be that soft so she decided to stay the night and keep Mike company since she knew how scared he must've bee while Carl went with Kevin to get a proper nights sleep
