I've just gotten a reply from the ambassador,

and yes I do have permission to share this information.

Article 13 has been discussed at Wattpad HQ for months now, and a lot of people are really following it closely. There has been people throwing in their two scents about how stifling creativity isn't productive. Writing is a stress reliever for many, it even helps people cope with mental ilness, and doing it through already beloved characters is fulfilling. Fanfiction and fanwork is important to Wattpad, and they really want to do everything they can in order to support their European users.

The Directive won't be voted on until January 2019, so currently its tricky to know how everything will turn out if Article 13 is passed, but the wording of it now states that it wouldn't have a massive hit on writing fanfictions here on Wattpad, but it would make it more difficult and complicated.
This whole thing began when music was getting copyrighted and that slowly bled into other branches of fanwork.

Wattpad is AGAINST Article 13, and they will stand with us!
