five hours before my senior prom

my mom calls knowing he won't step up and take me

and without hesitation

you tell her you'll be more than willing to go with me

so i won't have to be alone on one of the most important nights of my life

so you go out

buy dress clothes and a tie to match my dress

which ended up being a perfect match by the way

and you show up

looking as handsome as ever

we spend the next few hours nervous as hell

taking cute pre prom pictures and eating food that i couldn't even finish

and although we didn't do much dancing

we had that one special slow dance

the one where we felt like the only two people in the room

and we couldn't stop smiling

and as the night ended, we ended up back at your place

i quickly changed out of my dress and into your clothes, wanting to be more comfortable

and as we laid down on your bed

i let my feelings over flow as i push my lips against yours

letting them dance with yours for awhile

knowing, i was to be your first kiss
