early in the morning, as always
you leave a kiss on my forehead
and a soft "i love you"
and while you're gone
i clean and cook and prepare all of my love for you
and the minute you step through the door
i'm in your arms
and as you engulf my body
you smell dinner in the oven

the cleanliness of the apartment
