[Toni's POV]

"I can't believe I made the team!" I happily exclaimed to Jug, Sweets and Fangs who were all sitting on the couch of my trailer. "This is absolutely amazing! Oh god, I can't wait to tell Cheryl! Speaking of Cheryl, I need to ask her to be my girlfriend! But what if she declines and says no. Maybe she just want to be my friend." I rambled, that's what usually happens when I'm over excited.

Sweet Pea laughed, "Whoa, Calm down Toni. And I'm sure Cheryl will say yes. Every one in their right mind knows that she's crazy for you and you're crazy for her. You guys are perfect together."

"For once," Jughead chimes in. "I actually agree with Sweet Pea. You two are going to be a power couple that not even Varchie could compare!"

"Or Bughead!" Fangs smiled, and Jughead looked at him as if he were to be offended.

"Uh, excuse me?!" Jughead scoffed. "Choni would be a great couple but nothing compared to me and Betts."

"Choni?" I arched my eyebrows.

"Kevin made it. It's your and Cheryl's ship name." He simply shrugged and went back to eating his Pop's burger in which I didn't even know he had.

[Cheryl's POV]

Well I was glad that Toni wasn't seeing someone else, like I had expected she was. Turns out she had just joined the football team, to which Betty and Veronica suggested was a surprise to me. That may be true or maybe they were just trying to spare my feelings but then again surprising me like that is such a Toni Topaz thing to do.

My phone rang pulling me from my thoughts. It was a text from Toni.

From Hottie Topaz:
Hey babe, are you ready for our date tonight?

To Hottie Topaz:
Yup, you know it! Is there anything specific you would like me to wear tonight?

From Hottie Topaz:
Well there is but I think if you did it would be illegal for you to go to public like that😏😉

To Hottie Topaz:
Ugh, you are such a perv, Cha-Cha 😑

From Hottie Topaz:
Come on, Cher, you know you like it!

To Hottie Topaz:
That I do! So... anything else?

From Hottie Topaz:
Well I really liked you in that red cocktail dress you wore on our first date. You looked hot.

To Hottie Topaz:
Oh you noticed? 😉

From Hottie Topaz:
Of course I noticed, did you see your ass in that thing 😏

To Hottie Topaz:

Ugh, whatever. See you later, hot stuff.

I put my phone down on the bed stand and laid down on my room till I fell asleep thinking about Toni.

[Toni's POV]

4 hours later...

I had picked up Cheryl. I had made a moonlight diner. Everything was everything I had planned, it was amazing. Absolutely amazing.

"So, Cheryl..." I said as I quickly took a sip of the red wine, AKA Cheryl's favorite, to ease my nerves. "Um, you know how I've been talking about getting into... sports?"

She nodded her head without hesitation. "Yeah."

"Well... the other day... I tried out for... um, football..." I bit my lip. "And... er... I made it."

There was a beat of silence before she lightly chuckled. "Toni, I already know."

My face dropped. "Wha- how? Was it Sweet Pea? Jug? Fangs?"

She shook her head. "The kids who made the football team for this season was on a list that was pinned up, so all the cheerleaders could see it."

"Great..." I said, sarcastically. Why didn't I think of that? "I wanted it to be surprise!"

"Don't worry, T. I was very surprised, if you want proof just ask Betty and Veronica." She smirked.

I nodded. Stupid list.

A couple days later...

I slammed my locker shut as I took out my football helmet from it. I was dressed from head to toe in the football outfit, it fit a little big on me but it was comfortable.

The door opened and I turned around to see Jughead walk in, of course he was wearing his iconic crown beanie but he had a blue and yellow stripe under both his eyes. You know, the one football players wear. And he was wearing a Bulldog's t-shirt. He looked very comically made up.

"Hey, Jug." I greeted him as he walked further in the changing room. I was actually in the cheerleader's changing room because I'm a girl and I guess Coach doesn't want me in the boy's changing room. Oh, and nobody except my friends and Cheryl know about my intersexuality. So, yeah.

"Hey, T." He looked around. "I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to be here but I just wanted to wish you luck. Fangs and Sweet Pea are out on the stands, waiting for the game to begin."

"Thanks," I put the helmet on.

"So... where's Cheryl? And how are things going for you two?" He smirked as he brought his attention back to me.

"Cheryl's our with the rest of the cheerleaders and... I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend after the game. You have everything set up... right?" I ranted, and he nodded and gave me a thumbs up. "Great, let's just hope she says yes."

"Don't worry. She will."

It was actually a surprisingly close game. I threw at least 6 touchdowns and made like 2 touchdowns of myself.

We had went up against Greendale High. The score was 36 to 31, we won. And by the end of the game I was nervous but I managed to ask Cheryl if she wanted to my girlfriend in front of everyone.

I was a shaking and nervous wreck when she gave her answer.

Which was yes.
