SATURDAY
'One Week Later'

It's been a week of Taehyung ignoring me.

The weird part is that he still rides the same train.

Maybe he has to take that train. Maybe he hates that I do too.

"He's ignoring me!" I cry against Jin's shoulder.

It's lunchtime and I was dragged out to eat by everyone after they witnessed my mopey state.

"Don't get tears in my noodles." Jin says with a stuffed mouth.

I frown and wipe my tears.

Jisoo reaches over the table and holds my hand.

"My cousin is single."

I huff at her.

"Confront him." Lisa puts down her fork.

I furrow my brows.

She leans in closer to me.

"Right now."

----------

It was a hit or miss whether or not he would be working right now.

Looking into the window, I scan for him.

I was hoping he wasn't working, but there he was...

"C'mon Jennie, you can do this. It's now or never."

I wipe my sweaty hands on my skirt and push open the door.

I head over to the drinks and force myself in the short line, feeling faint from my nerves going haywire.

Taehyung finishes helping the customer and connects eyes with my own.

He forces them down to the cashier and attempts to brush me off as a regular customer, "How can I he-"

"Have I done something?" I rush out the words.

He stares back into my eyes.

"No," he sighs out with a shake of his head.

"Then why...?" I feel myself getting choked up.

His hand goes to grab his apron, "I-it's just that-"

"Can we help you?" A low voice cuts in.

I turn to it and immediately recognize the petite doll.

"Yeri..." Taehyung's voice is cautionary.

"No! It's not right and you know that!"

She crosses her arms and stares intimidatingly at me. Her mouth pursed and jaw clenched.

I hate this, I hate confrontation. It sucks and right now I feel like everyone is staring at me because his ex-girlfriend is causing a scene.

I take a step back from the heat.
"I just-"

"Let me stop you right there. The very fact that you went to his work is borderline stalker-ish." She laughs bitterly,  "Do you even know him?"

By this point I have most of the employees looking at me. I feel my eyes water. There's so much I could say. There's so much I want to say. But the tears---that jump out whenever my throat can't let my voice out---do nothing but embarrass me.

I look at Taehyung one last time, he doesn't even look in my direction.

"No."

With that, I turned around in my heels and left.

Heart in pieces.
