With all their wins, the team made playoffs, Chan deciding to have a celebratory dinner at Logan's. Chan invited the gang (Woojin, Jeongin, and Jisung) and they were all sat at one of the booths, Minho laughing at something Felix said.
The last few games have been some of the best games he's ever played. Not just that, but having Jisung as his cheerleader makes him more ready to win, throwing his heart out in the game just so he can hear Jisung cheer for him. He was sitting next to him now, eyes fixed on the way the jersey hung on him, something in Minho's chest constricting. No matter how many times he'd seen him in it already, his heart still leaped out of his chest at the sight. It made him want to do things, things he wasn't sure were very normal between friends.
He wanted to reach under the jersey and pull Jinsung in, nose along his neck and cheeks and just be near him. He'd been thinking about it a lot recently, his hands sometimes moving on their own accord. Minho always catches himself at the very last minute though, his self control coming back to him. It's teetering with every day that passes, Minho not sure what to do with himself anymore.
"When's the game that decides all, then?" Woojin asked, snatching up a fry from the middle of the table.
"It's on... February 14." Chan said after a while, mind trying to remember what date the coach had told him.
"Oh it falls on Valentine's day." Jeongin pointed out, taking another sip of his milkshake. He's was on his fourth one. Chan really loved that boy, he was always buying him whatever he wanted. Minho started to wonder if he was the only one with crush. "We should totally hang out after the game." He suggested, waiting for everyone to agree.
"Can't guys, sorry." Felix said, staring at his phone like he had been doing most of the night. "I've got plans with my man." His eyes left the screen for a moment to gauge the table, but then he was right back to to texting away, most likely texting said man.
"You're no fun." Jeongin whined, crossing his arms as if really upset. Minho doesn't really see why, Felix is allowed to spend the day of love with the one he loves. And if he wants to do it alone, then so be it. Minho would much rather they keep their pda to themselves.
"Well I've got no plans that day, so count me in." Chan offered, probably hoping to put a smile back on Jeongin's face. It worked, the boy on the edge of his seat as he turned to Woojin.
"You'll be there too, won't you?" He had a puppy dog look in his eye, one even Minho would probably succumb to.
"If Chan will be there, I have to be there too." He winked, Chan ducking away with a red face. Sometimes, Minho really wondered what went through Chan's mind.
"Jisung will obviously be there- "
"You can't just assume that I will." Jisung butted in, placing his elbows on the table. He held his head high. "I might just have plans." Minho froze in his seat because for the first time ever it occurred to him that, Jisung not being his, meant he could be someone else's. It kind of hurt his heart. It was almost to the point of physical pain, Minho stretching his back in an attempt to get himself moving again.
"Who are you trying to kid?" Jeongin laughed, pointing a menacing finger at Jisung. "I know for a fact that you don't or was there something you wanted to say?" His tone of voice implied he knew something, something the rest of the table didn't. Jisung's eyes widened and he tried to scowl, but he just looked like a mouse with puffed up cheeks. Eventually he gave in.
"Alright, I guess I'll be there too." Jeongin had a knowing smile on his face, his attention then on Minho.
"Since Jisung has so graciously allowed us his time, " Jisung humphed, "Will you also give us yours?"
"Yeah." Jeongin already knew Minho would go, he just liked to rile the boy up. He knew how whipped Minho was for Jisung, wherever he went, Minho was sure to follow. Well more or less. Jeongin's attention went back to Woojin and Chan.
"You don't really have to." Jisung whispered to him, an unexpected move for Minho. He gulped, suddenly very aware of their proximity. He could see all of Jisung's facial features, eyes focusing solely on his very pink lips. An inch closer and well Minho tried not think about it.
"I don't have any other plans." Minho whispered back, delicate with his words. The atmosphere that suddenly surrounded them only involving them two. Minho didn't want to disrupt that by talking loudly. "Why not spend the day with you." Guys. He meant to add that in, but it felt so much better without it. He was finally trying to get his message across. Minho smiled and Jisung kept his eyes on Minho for a long second before backing away, not saying anything. Minho was a little worried until he noticed the way Jisung bit his lip, trying very hard to hide a smile. Minho couldn't wait for the fourteenth.
