Hayley's POV
It hurt to move, I was drained, stuck to this stupid bed for 5 days. I felt like I was paralysed. All I know is that I only had 10% chance of living and my stomach was pumped. I'd only woken up about 30 minutes ago.
Kim, a very nice nurse, walked through the door with a plate of chicken pasta, her lips formed a sympathetic smile.
"Hi, how you feeling, Hayley?" She asked when placing the food on the tray directly in front of me.
"Dead" i croaked, "Thank you though," she helped sit me up and passed me a glass of water.
"No problem, if you need me don't be afraid to ask" Showing a genuine smile, which I attempted to return. I sipped at the water which felt utterly refreshing for my throat, "tomorrow there will be a psychiatrist who will be speaking to you"
"Okay"
"I'm going to leave you too it" Kim spoke as she walked through the door, gently closing it behind her. I saw my phone on the side, I checked to see how I looked and my god was I pale and rough.
My attention was turned towards the door, a knocking sound came from the door. The next person I witnessed walking in, was something I'd never expect.
Her long brown hair with her natural blonde tips, her perfect figure. Her eyes were empathised by there blueness, also most blinding in fact. She's changed, she looks like she's stopped her drugs, if I saw her in the street, she would be unrecognisable. Our facials and bodily features matched. I should be angry but I couldn't, I smiled at her as happy tears rolled down my face.
I was reunited with my mum.
Something I never thought would happen."Oh my god" she weakly smiled, tears falling down her face as she carefully hugged me, "I'm so sorry, I've missed you"
"I've missed you too" repeating back to her as she sat on the bed, gently, she wiped her tears, "where've you been?"
"I've spent most of my time in Sussex, with my side of the family but recently moved to London, I was back in Whitley Bay for a bit" Informing me on where she has been for the last 8 years.
"I wish yous stayed in contact, yous just left" I whispered as it hurt to talk.
"I'm sorry, Hay, I really am babe"
"I forgive yer, it's just hurt Tristan and I like"
"I know, I wasn't good enough for any of you lot" Mum sighed.
"You were and are good enough" I reassured her, the door opened slowly, I looked and saw Tristan and Ellie. A huge smile appeared on my face.
"Mum?!" Tristan whispered, shocked, his expression was something I never witnessed and it made me happy. Ellie came over and hugged me as Tristan hugged mum. Tristan pecked my forehead.
"How are you?" He asked me.
"Just feel rough but aye" Weakly smiling.
"I'm glad your here" He said with a genuine smile, he then turned to mum, "please don't leave again"
"I won't, I promise" Mum whispered back, sadly smiling as tears formed again in her eyes. Ellie looked at me.
"Thank yous so much Ellie" I thanked her, her smile widening.
"It's okay" she replied, squeezing my hand. Too many emotions filled this room, I was hugely thankful for everything and everyone in here. No matter if someone disappeared for years.
