A/N: Veronica writes songs, and is sort of an outcast because of her father. And one day after school Archie hears her singing in the music room. Also in this one-shot they have never met before. Enjoy!

Veronica Lodge was an artist, to take away her pain and stress she isolated herself from people. Her one source to take that pain away was her music. Not that she ever told anyone about it, she kept it to herself, and she never would tell anyone. Because the songs she wrote weren't you're average love songs about happiness. No, her songs were about pain, about sorrow. All of which she felt. She decided that every Friday she would practice in the music room after school.

She chose Friday because that's when nobody was there, so she could be alone. So as the final bell rang for school to be out, that's exactly where she went. Veronica made her way down the school hallways, trying her best not to get noticed. The one thing that hurt her most was that she had been blamed for her father's shortcomings. After everyone found out it had been Hiram Lodge who was buying land from Riverdale, everyone avoided Veronica. She was lonely, she was alone.

Once she made it to the music room, she entered. Setting her guitar case to the side, she had decided to work on the piano today. She pulled out her songbook out of her backpack and flipped to the page titled "Bored." And she made her way to the piano seat. And as she started to play the lyrics started to escape from her lips.

"The games you played were never fun, you'd said you'd stay but then you'd run.."

"Giving you what you're begging for, giving you what you say I need..."

And as she sung, a certain redhead had forgotten his own songbook in the music room. "Betty! Jug! I left my songbook inside I'll be back!" Archie shouted as he ran back into the school. As he made his way into the school, in his ears, he could faintly hear the piano. "I wonder if someone is there?" Archie questioned himself. And that's when he heard it, a voice. Archie was about twenty feet away from the room, so he decided he would listen longer.

"I'm not afraid anymore... What makes you sure you're all I need?"

"Forget about it... When you walk out the door and leave me torn..."

"You're teaching me to live without it..."

Archie was captivated no matter how much he wanted to look away, he couldn't. Her beautiful raven hair that fell perfectly, the way her voice sounded, Archie was fully stuck in a trance. "Who is she?" Archie whispered to himself.

"Bored, I'm so bored, I'm so bored..."

"So bored..."

And that's when Archie knocked down her guitar case, causing Veronica to close her notebook and stand up. She sharpened her eyes at the redhead, "What are you doing here? Did you hear me?" Veronica spoke harshly. If he was honest, Archie was frightened by her tone but decided to play it cool. "You sounded amazing. Was that an original?" Her harsh gaze slowly disappeared. She tucked a piece of loose hair behind her ear, "That's none of you're business."

"You could make it my business." Archie joked, attempting to lighten the mood. "Look, you can't tell anyone you saw me here," Veronica said, but this time she wasn't harsh, she sounded nervous and desperate. "That's no issue, but I get it just so you know," Archie said, being genuine. Veronica's face was suddenly flustered with confusion. "What do you mean you get it?" She asked curiously, scrunching her eyebrows.

"I write my own music too." As he spoke, Archie was the nervous one now. Veronica lifted her hand to her chin, rubbing it like she was deep in thought. "Can I trust you?" Veronica asked tilting her head slightly to the side. "Yeah, of course." He spoke shyly, "Great!" Veronica smiled. Veronica knew she shouldn't trust so easily, but one person couldn't hurt... Right?

Archie wasn't lying when he told her she could trust him, he knew that music could be private to some people. When Veronica spoke it knocked Archie from his thought "Do you mind if I get your opinion then?" He gave her a confused look, "Opinion on what? Music?" She smiled and shook her head, implying yes. "Well, the part I heard, sounded great." Veronica opened her mouth to speak when Archie's phone went off. He gave her an apologetic look and took out his phone from his pocket.

"Damnit, I have to go," Archie said after reading the text from his phone, grabbing his forgotten notebook in the process. "Hey...?" Archie motioned for her name. "Veronica, Veronica Lodge." Unlike others, Archie didn't seem to be fazed by her name. "Archie Andrews." He said, pointing to himself. "I have to go, but we should sing together sometime?" Archie asked, more like a suggestion. Her smile appeared, making Archie's heart rate speed up.

"I would love that." She said, wildly grinning. Archie started smiling himself, "Me too." Archie started to walk out of the room when he was called for. "Hey, Archie?" He turned around smiling, "What is it?" He asked, curious to know. "To be continued." She spoke, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear for the second time.

"To be continued," Archie said, nodding his head and walking out. He smiled to himself as he exited the school. That night they both laid in their beds thinking about the same thing, each other.
