A/N: Archie and Veronica have never met. She wants to kill herself, he saves her.

*TRIGGER WARNING*

Her pearls. Veronica's pearls draped gracefully around her neck. Moving upwards and slightly hitting her chin with each step... Bump. Bump. Her heals, stitched between her fingers, getting tossed slightly with each sudden movement. Her hair that normally was perfect; down to the way the waves highlighted her collar bones, to the heathy way it framed her face. Veronica's beautiful raven hair now cut, with spilt ends making their way to the ends of her hair, like weeds in a poorly cared for garden.

Running. The young teen, running as fast as she could. Tears streaming from her face, causing her under eyes to get puffy. The sound of her heavy breathing was all she could hear, as she ran with all her strength. Her mini skirt now ripped from the front, almost exposing her to the world. Her name brand blouse, now untucked and wrinkled. The skin colored stockings she wore, now lay ripped on her bruised legs. Run. Run. If anyone saw her now, she wouldn't know what to say.

"This is it, this is rock bottom." She whispered to herself, breathless.

Veronica didn't know what to do. As she ran, her thoughts drifted to the reason she was doing this, the reason she was killing herself. Her parents, Veronica's beloved parents. Deep down Veronica always knew this was her families fate. They would split, and continue to do unspeakable things. Sure, Veronica couldn't handle her parents ways anymore, but she didn't hate them. They were her parents after all, the only two people in the world you can truly trust. But unfortunately, Veronica's situation was unlike most.

She loved her parents, and thats why this hurt so much.

Love me, need me, care about me.

So, as she marched her way up the stares. She mentally prepared herself for death, after all she would be dead soon. Just a memory to her peers and friends. Someone that would soon be in the past. She made her way to the roofs door, silently saying thank you to the person that left the door unlocked. When she opened the door, a smooth breeze flew past her, lifting her hair, and calming her nerves. She wasn't scared of death anymore, she invited it like an old friend.

Veronica tossed her shoes aside as she made her way to the ledge of the tall building. Her tears now slicked down and dried to her face. She licked her dry lips as she helped herself to the ledge of the building. Standing on the ledge, she closed her eyes. Taking in the sounds of the night, and how the slight breeze would make her hair rise and fall. This is peaceful. This is how I want to die. She was alone in the world, only ever having fake friends and parents who could care less about her.

She slowly lifted one of her legs, and started to lean forward. And thats when she heard a small distant voice.

"P-please! Please! Stop, you don't need to do this."

She opened her eyes slowly, thinking she just imagined it. Veronica looked down, her eyes widened in shock as she saw what looked to be a teenage boy. She let her arms fall to her sides, as she stared from the ledge at the boy.

"Look! Whatever your going through may be hard." He looked down. "But you can't kill yourself."

She scrunched her eyebrows in confusion, looking down. She never knew kindness, she never thought someone would take a second glance at her. But he, he truly had something captivating about him. And aura that told her everything would be okay. She shook her head, No! I have to do this to be happy. She closed her eyes again, slowly leaning.

"Wait! Just listen to me! Please I'm begging you." Tears now streaming out of the mystery boy's eyes. "Look I get it, I do. I think about this all the time! But you can't let your darkness take over you! People will miss you! I'll miss you! Heck, I'll blame myself for not being able to save you!"

Veronica could tell the boy was on edge, just by his tone. She knew he was scared for her. But she wondered why, she wondered why someone she never met would care about her death.

I never knew kindness, until the day I met you.
