Problems in the BAU

Chapter 7

The Doctor walked out of the room where JJ was. "JJ is in stable condition" The team let out a sigh of relief. "But she has a few broken ribs, a broken leg, a broken arm, a black eye, and Bruises everywhere. She is very sore. You may see her now" The team rushed to room 217 and saw there friend beaten up in the bed. They slowly walked up to her.

"Hey JJ" Reid carefully asked as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "How are you?"

"Spence?" She let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad to see you" She smiled a broken smile but a beautiful broken smile. "Spence?"

"Yeah JJ"

"I love you" Her fingers inches for his hand and when they touched they both felt better.

"MOMMY!" Henry squealed as he ran to his mothers bedside.

"Hi Bud!" She smiled. "Mommy loves you with all her heart!" She grabbed his hand.

"I love you to mommy" He smiled and kissed her hand.

"Henry" She grabbed him by his side and held him with her good hand."No matter where you go, no matter where you are, no matter how big you grow, and even if you stray far, I'll love you forever, 'cause you'll always be my baby star." she started Crying as she spoke this.

"Mommy why are you crying?" Henry asked.

"Because I love you so much" She said wiping her tears. "I.Love.You." She said poking his chest after every word.

"I.Love.You" He replied with a smile brighter than any star. Garcia came in.

"Henry? Are you hungry?"

"Yes!" He replied. "Do you think they have JELL-O?"

"Let's go see!" She grabbed the hand of the little one and walked out. The team started filing in one after the other.

"Jennifer?" Hotch asked. "I'm so glad to see you!" He smiled as he placed a kiss on her forehead. "You are so strong and I'm so proud of you"

"Thank you Aaron" She cried. He walked out a Prentiss walked in.

"Hey Jen!" She smiled. "Umm.." she said holding back tears. "I missed you" She sniffled. "You're my sister"

"A sister is a forever friend"

"May I interrupt?" Morgan asked as he walked in the room. Prentiss nodded in agreement and walked out. "Hey Jen"

"Hey Mr. Badass" She replied with a grin.

"That's the Jennifer Jareau I've missed" He smiled. "Sitting in a hospital bed and still a smart ass" He laughed. "Is there anything I can get you?"

"Anything! I don't care. I'm starving!"

"Yes ma'am" He grinned and walked out.

"Hey there Jennifer" Rossi said as he walked in and say next to her. "Jennifer do you know what you remind me of"

"What?"

"A tiger. A very nurturing and protective animal. But when an ass needs kicking you're right there."

"Haha thanks Rossi" She laughed. "Just give me a call if someone needs an ass-kicking!"

"I would rather call you than a whole army! He smiled and rubbed her hand. "I love you kid" He smiled and walked out.

"Hey got you some crackers and water" Morgan said as he walked in.

"Thank you!" She started struggling with the crackers.

"Hey hey, let me help you" He opened the crackers and the water.

"Thanks Derek" She said and scarfed them down.

"Okay" The doctor said as he walked in. "I think Ms. Jareau needs some rest" The team filed out and left JJ to sleep.

"Someone should stay with her" Rossi said as he took a drink of water.

"I will stay with her" Reid replied.

"Are you sure Reid?" Hotch asked.

"Yep! You guys go home and get some rest"

"Okay boy genius but we will be back in the morning." Garcia smiled.

"Henry you are going to stay with me for a couple of days" Hotch said as he walked up to Henry. "Is that okay?"

"Of course!" He grabbed his toy and walked off with Hotch. The whole team left and Reid fell asleep in the waiting room. Reid woke up a couple hours later at 7:30 and grabbed some coffee. He walked into JJ's room and saw she was still asleep. He walked to the chair by the bed and pulled a book out of his bag and started reading. About 30 minutes passed when he heard JJ waking up. She turned around and her face lit up the whole room.

"Good morning Spence"

"Good morning Jaydge!" He closed his book and replied with a smile. "Is there anything I can get ya?"

"Water please"

"Okay" He smiled as he left the room. Being taken away really made JJ think. What if she never had returned and never got to tell Henry bye or Spence she loved him. Her thoughts were interrupted by Reid running into the chair. "Ow" He let out a soft squeal. "Here is your water" He shot out a crooked smiled.

"Thanks oh mighty one" She teased and drank the water.

"Ms. Jareau" The doctor said walking in. "You have to stay in the hospital for at least 2 more weeks"

"Okay" She let out a sigh. "Thank you" The doctor walked out and JJ made a sad face. "You should probably get back to work Spence"

"Yeah I don't think so" He pulled up a chair and sat down beside her. "I am not going anywhere". And Spencer kept that promise. He came back everyday to see JJ for 2 weeks until she was able to go home, and on that 14th day they walked out together. Well one was in a wheelchair, But you get the point.
