At first I was really into the kiss, I didn't want it to stop. It was probably the most romantic thing that's ever happened to me. But then my sense came in and I pushed him away.

"Rodney?! W-what are you doing?" I didn't mean to sound to dramatic but it just came out naturally. He gets a little nervous, I can tell because a blush quickly forms across his face and he responded. "Oh um I'm so sorry I just uh... I thought that's what I was supposed to do but um..." I felt really bad because I know that he is a really sweet guy and I don't want to upset him. "Rodney it's okay honest but.. don't you think that was kind of fast?". He stared and me and then I could tell he was thinking, like really thinking.

At first I was confused but then a thought came up in my mind that I swear can absolutely not be true. The only way to find out is by asking him myself. "Hey um Rodney.. have you.. not been with another boy before?" I watch him for a response and he gives a smirk and scratches the back of his head. "Uh actually, I've never been with anyone before. Not a boy or a girl. I've honestly never liked anyone like this before so I guess I'm not very good at it." He chuckles at his own statement and treats it as if he were talking about his skill in a stupid video game.

I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. The nicest guy I have even seen in the entire world, has never been in a relationship before. He looks at me and wipes his mouth with a napkin and then he wipes mine for me before responding with an apology.

After a while he hops out of the bed of the truck and helps me out, then we both climb into the seats back inside the truck. He starts to drive and he continues to make conversation. "So, we should like talk and try to get to know each other right?". I honestly got a little humor out of him not knowing what to do when he has a crush, but it was a playful humor.  I smile and respond to him. "Yes Rodney, we should get to know each other properly instead of just jumping the gun and kissing right away." He nodded and with that we began to uncover the secrets of each other.

"So Francis, where are you from?". This question had always been asked a lot because no one really believed I was born in Colorado, usually I say that they are wrong and I was, but I had to be honest with him. "Well.. I don't tell many people this but... I was born in Aachen." He nodded to the news and I could tell he was confused again. "Awcan??? What's that? A whiskey town in Tennessee?" He laughed at his little joke and I had to correct him. " no no Aachen, it's a um.. a city in Germany." This I could tell pleased him because after that we had a straight thirty minute talk just about Germany.

After we were done with that we could back on track but this time it was his turn. So I asked him where he was from and the answer really didn't surprise me. "Well, I was born here in Faux Water. Never left, the people can be cruel but this always was and always will be my home." At first I'd thought he'd hated it here. But I could tell now that he didn't. Either way, something about him to me was so dreamy..
