After about an hour we arrived at my house and he'd made a few humorous offers of carrying me inside, although I knew he would have really done it. I declined the offers because my parents probably wouldn't want me just bringing a boy they didn't know inside.

I nervously waved my paw goodbye and stepped inside, then I snuck into the bathroom to shower. Once I was finished I went to bed and couldn't get the thought of Rodney out of my head. I felt like I was in love but I feel like he couldn't be dumb enough to like someone me...

Right?....

Rodney
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight I don't know what came over me, I'd never dated anyone before. There was just something about Francis that I really liked. Something was drawing me to him.
I already know my dad wouldn't approve me dating another boy, but like anybody in Faux Water really would. The only one I know would support me is my friend Judith. She could teach me anything I'd need to know to win over Francis. So I decided to call her.
I press her contact and my phone starts to call her and as usual she answered within a few minutes. "Hey Rodney what's up? Crash your truck in a ditch again or something?". Of coarse she just had to bring up the ONE time I have ever crashed a vehicle and brag that she hasn't. "Very funny Judith, I need to meet up with you and talk to you really quick it's important!". She knew I was serious now so she got a little bit more mature about it. "Whoa whoa slow down drag racer. What's going on?". I just quickly respond with a "I'll explain later" and hang up the phone. She'll know where to meet me.
I start to head my way towards Wallace Pond which is where we usually meet to listen to music, eat some late night snacks, and smoke a little bit. I pull up to the pond and jump out of my truck and stand by the water and wait for her.
Judith has been my best friend since we were pups. We met in kindergarten and we always got in trouble for all sorts of things. I guess you could say we were partners in crime. But we.. usually.. never did any crimes. And one thing I come to learn is that she will literally always be a little late. And by a little I mean up to like twenty minutes late.
Finally she shows up and she sits in her car on the phone with one of her other friends. She might be like no other girl I know but there is one thing I know for sure, and that is that she talks on the phone for ever just like any other teenage girl. I don't have time for any of her little games so I grab a big glob of mud and throw it at one of her windows. It splats all over the car and she finally hangs up and comes down to the water to join me.
She stands in a little sassy pose a bit upset that I dirtied her car but it's for real the least of my worries. She opens her mouth to speak to me after looking at me. "Well your not bleeding, you have no broken limbs, your still alive, what could be such a big deal Rodney?". I look straight at her in the most serious way I can and tell her what happened. "Judith, I like someone. But not just anyone.. I like another boy.."
I don't know how this is gonna go but I hope I can make it all work....
