Have you ever just felt lost
Like you're in a storm that's not really there
Have you ever looked at your life and noticed patterns repeated over and over
As if you're woven into some sort of cloth people call life

I don't want to be just another thread in a shirt
I want to be the loose strand that everyone cuts off because it doesn't match the other threads
Sure its disgarded but it's free from entrapment
Floating in whichever direction the wind blows

I dont want to be accepted into society if being accepted means I cannot be me.
I don't want to be another number.
I want to be the unorthodox rebel that questions all we believe and conform to.

Sure, I'll be looked at as the lost cause because I don't want the bow of my shoelace at the top.
Clothing is the one pure example of how beautiful individuality is.
You're not gonna be the dress that stands out if there are a million other dresses like you.

If you fit in, get along with everyone, are liked by your boss at work cause you do what she says, stop.
You're lost.
Being different is what makes you stand out.
Being different gives you a cause.
Because when you're different, you're different because you have something you're fighting for.
