Bryant's 26th Birthday Party!
I was invited to Bryant's birthday party. I mean, why wouldn't I be. Today. Today's the birthday party. I was 100% the twins would be there and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go there or not.
I picked up my phone and dialed James number.
James- Hey
Emma- Hey, so I don't think i'm gonna go to Bryant's party today
James- What?! Why not? You have to go he's your friend
Emma- Yea, but the twins will be there
James- So? Fuck them. You're not gonna let your ex stop you from living and having fun right?
Emma- I mean, I guess
James- No not I guess. Live a little. You haven't gone out in three months. Now go get ready
And with the that, he hung up the phone.
But he was right. I shouldn't let my ex stop me from having fun with my own friends.
I'm going to that fucking party.
I change into my already chosen outfit and put my sunglasses on.
Let's do this.
I hop into my car pulling up the location on google maps. I start follow directions to a dock, which took me 30 minutes to get to.
I saw a bunch of people, waiting by a boat, standing.
Thank god, I saw some friends.
I quickly park my car and head out too the dock.
"Hey guys," I smile to my friends hugging them.
"Happy birthday Bryant!" I laugh giving him a hug.
"Thank you. I'm so glad you came." He replied.
"Me too. Me too."
Soon enough everyone starts piling into the boat. I saw the twins at the corner of my eye, standing with water in their hand, talking to each other. I looked the other way and started talking to Olivia.
"Hey, did you try the smoothies?" Olivia asks hold up a drink in her hand. I shake my head and she points to a little bar in the back of the boat. "I'll be right back." I laugh.
I walked over to the bar and ask for a strawberry smoothie. I sat down at one of the bar stools, patiently waiting while watching the guy make my smoothie.
"Same for me, please." I hear a familiar voice say.
But I don't dare look. Instead, I start poking at my nails, a common behavior of mine for when I get nervous.
He sits two stools away from me.
"Didn't think you would come." He says.
I finally turn my head, looking at him, while he was just looking straight. "Why wouldn't I?" I asked firmly.
He shrugged his shoulders "You knew I was gonna be here."
"You think I'm going to stop going places just because you will be there." I scoffed.
"Here you go, ma'am." The guy handed me my smoothie flashing a smile.
"Thanks," I grab my smoothie and walk away.
Been a dick, always a dick.
Let's just see where this party takes us.
