"Can I..?" He points to the edge of my bed, and I quickly nod. He sits down by my feet, one hand in his pocket, and the other rubbing through his hair.

He lets out a deep sigh before putting his other hand back into the pocket.

"Back at my house, before this... when we had the argument, you know?"

"Yes. I know." I nod understandingly.

"When I didn't reply to you about me cheating on you with Kristina, well I, it was because," He lets out a sigh, trying to find the right words.

"I didn't cheat on you with Kristina. Whatever she told you, it was true, well at-least partially. We did kiss, she came on to me. But, I quickly realized what was happening an I backed away. But we weren't even dating at that time. I don't even know why i'm giving you an explanation when you didn't give me one." He scoffs standing up.

It's astonishing how quick his moods can change. One second there's sorrow in his eyes and the other, complete anger.

"That's because you never let me," I mumble.

"Well, todays your lucky day." He says turning around to face me again.

"I-" Before I could begin, my mom walks in the room, holding a container or fruits.

"Oh, sorry If I interrupted anything," She says tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"No, we were done." He says, quickly walking out.

I force the tears back in, making sure I don't cry. Those days are over.

"Good news, doctors said you can leave tomorrow morning." My mom smiles.

I smile back, looking down at my fingers and fiddling with them.

"What's wrong?" She asks moving the hair out of my face.

"Nothing. Just want to get out of here." I lie.

Why the fuck am I here? Why am I apologizing to her?

Why am I explaining MYself. It should be her.

"I need the keys." I say to Grayson.

"Where you going?" He asks sitting up.

"Home."

"You're not gonna stay here?"

"No, now give me the keys." I growl.

"Calm down, bro. How am I gonna get home, though?" He says putting the keys in my hand.

"Get an uber." I say walking away. I press the down button, patiently waiting for the elevator.

I hear the ding, and the doors slowly start opening.

My eyes probably popped out of my head, when I saw who walked out.

"Ethan?"

"Kristina?"
