**NICKI POV**
I sat at home alone while Drake and Matthew were gone, he hadn't sent me any pictures yet so I settled for a bottle of Myx to help the day go by faster. I checked the time, it was nearly 7pm they should've been home an hour ago. I started to get worried, what if something happened with the train? I frantically turned on the TV praying they'd be safe.
"BREAKING NEWS"
I started crying when they showed the footage of a train derailment. I couldn't hear what was being said, something about only one survivor. I cried harder, then my phone rang but I was too hurt to answer, the voicemail played aloud.
"Hey Nic its Lauren, I just saw on the news about the train accident and wanted to make sure you and Matthew are okay" Then there was the sound of crying.
The phone rang again.
"Nika please tell me that wasn't your train" More crying.
The phone rang more and more, each voicemail was the same. I couldn't bring myself to try calling Drake, too afraid of getting bad news.
"At least Matthew had a great day" I coaxed myself.
Finally I built up the courage to call Drake, it went to voicemail. "Babe please tell me you're okay"
I hung up and called again. No answer.
I called again, "Babeee pick up the phoneeee."
My legs felt weak, the thought of not having them anymore made my heart ache, breathing became difficult and I felt my head hit the floor.
**DREAMING**
I walked across the train debris crying more and more each step. After walking over dead bodies and dying bodies something grabbed my leg. I screamed thinking it was one of the random dying people, I kicked the hand of the unrecognizable face.
"Nic" the body called out. At that moment I noticed it was Drake, covered in ashes with his skin and clothes singed to a crisp. I touched his face, the soot shone with a slight flame and fell to the ground.
"Babe, I'm so sorry." I started crying.
"Get Matthew" He replied and slightly pointed to what was left of a seat. I noticed a little arm poking out from under it and I ran to him. My hands burned from lifting the seat off of him, I held him in my arms and cried more.
His face was recognizable but his eyes were closed.
"Matthew, baby boy open your eyes for mommy." I whispered, he was still breathing slightly. "Baby boy stay with me."
His eyes opened slightly and I hugged him tight, then a few feet away I saw the Green Henry train. With Matthew still in my arms I crawled over a dead lady and grabbed the train. I put it into Matthew's hands and looked back at Drake, he was dead. I cuddled Matthew close, "baby boy don't leave me I love you"
"I love you too Mommy" He whispered and I felt him wrap his arms around me.
I gasped and stood up, "I'll never love another little boy like I love you."
***DRAKE POV**
Matthew and I returned home to find Nic passed out on the floor. I picked her up and laid her on the couch.
"Mommy?" Matthew stood over her, worried.
I went into the kitchen and dialed 911.
AT THE HOSPITAL
The doctor came and told us we were able to see her, we followed him into her room.
"Nika," I said with teary eyes after the doctor had left.
"Mommy?" Matthew said with a tear rolling down her cheek. Her eyes remained closed.
I picked Matthew up and laid him next to her, she blinked and wrapped her arm around him. Suddenly her eyes opened abruptly and stared at him.
"Matthew?" She said softly.
"Yes mommy?"
"You're okay?" She hugged him tightly.
"You too"
She looked around, "Why am I in the hospital?" She asked me.
"You were out cold, on the floor. We were worried." I explained.
"I don't understand.." She shook her head.
"You passed out,"
"No I got that, but I thought the train derailed? Only one person survived." A tear fell down her cheek.
"I gave my seat on the train up for a lady who's daughter was dying of cancer. She was the only survivor." I kissed her forehead.
"I called you"
"Yeah I know at first I couldn't find my phone but then I was buying the tickets and then we were running for the train." I explained, I stopped when I noticed the expression on her face. "You passed out after I didn't answer?"
"I was overwhelmed and frightened."
"Babe I'm sorry, I should've told you I had given away the seat right away." I ran my fingers through her hair, "I should've called you back after missing your calls, we could be home instead of in the hospital right now."
She touched my face, "Its no big deal, I'm happy now that I know you're safe. I love you two so much and was afraid to lose you. I will be fine, I can leave today and everything will be back to normal."
"Yeah" I nodded.
