I ran down the long spiral stairs to the kitchen where I thought she was but was met by my dad and brother eating breakfast.
"Where's momma?" I said trying to catch my breath. I need to work out more.
"You know she left with Tink and Kenn to Jamaica this morning." My dad said pouring orange juice in his cup
"Acting slow." Jabari look at me shaking his head

I rolled my eyes "Shut up always talking shit." I replied really not caring that my dad was right there I was eighteen so I can cuss.
Johnny quickly look at his daughter "Hey Evangeline watch your mouth."
"Right,I am so hurt." Jabari put his hand on his chest "Dad she cuss at me." He whine to his father.
I cross my arms across my chest waiting on him to shut up.
"Be quiet Jabari" Johnny look at his irritated daughter "What's wrong? Why you was screaming for your mother?"
Gege smile remembering what's she came downstairs for.
"I got my PERIOD!!" She said happily
Both of the guys made faces and sounds not wanting to hear that.
"Nigga we don't care." Jabari said still holding his disgusted face.
Gege look at her father.
"Daddy I got my Period." She said again trying to get him to say something but he was to busy having flashbacks where Gege was a little girl eating hotdogs and watching Trolls on his lap till she fell asleep. Now his baby girl got her period conforming that she was really eighteen and about to go away to college in a few months.
"Daddy?" Gege snap her fingers in his face
"What the hell you want him to do?" Jabari said wondering why his sister keep calling on his dad
