So the idea is that a new girl has moved to town and she's a street singer. So she goes to the boardwalk and sings 'killing moon' by echo and the bunnymen, and David is watching her so she keeps looking at him as she sings. Then she finds out what David and the boys are.

--------------------------------------------------

The Boardwalk was swarming with people as I made my own path through the crowds, my hips swaying as the music pounded through my head. "Good Times by INXS" blasted through my headphones at full volume.

I find an empty area beside a comic book store and set my speaker and microphone down, putting together my 80's look. The sunglasses go on first, then the leather jacket to add a 'badass' look, and finally, combat lace-up boots to match the whole ensemble.

I set out a hat to fill with money for food and clothes, and scroll through my song list, clicking on "Killing Moon" by Echo and The Bunnymen.

"Under blue moon, I saw you. So soon, you'll take me up in your arms."

A one dollar bill is dropped into the hat.

"Too late to beg you or cancel it. Though I know it must be the killing time."

A ten dollar bill is slipped into the hat.

"Unwilling mine. Fate. Up against your will. Through the thick and thin. He will wait until. You give yourself to him."

A lit cigarette is dropped into your hat and I stop singing to glare at the person. The platinum-haired man takes out another cigarette and lights it.

"Have an issue?" He asks.

"You just burned my only money. Now how am I supposed to pay for food tonight?"

"My brothers and I will take you out for dinner."

"You don't have to. I'm only a street singer. I'm not special."

"Woah, girly, don't get ahead of yourself. I just invited you out to eat with us. You coming or what?"

"Sure," I pack everything up into my bag and follow him to the entrance of the Santa Carla Boardwalk to see four motorcycles. "I wasn't expecting any of this."

"See what you like?" The second boy to the end cat-calls at me as I take in the motorcycles and how they're all accustomed to what their rider likes.

"Yeah, I actually do. Who do I ride with?"

"On back with me." The guy on the end hollers, sliding forward a bit to make room.

I slip my leg over the back of his bag, slinging my bag onto both shoulders and wrapping both arms around his middle.

"What's your name?"

"Marko. Yours?"

"Y/N."

"Beautiful name."

"Thanks."

His motorcycle takes off after the others, bouncing off the concrete stairs and startling a couple tourists. Marko ducks down lower and I follow suit. Platinum whoops and hollers as his bike hits a ramp and sails through the air, gaining ground on the other blonde who's at least a couple meters ahead.

Finally the bikes screech to a halt at the base of a cliff, the sheer drop and the waves creating a panic within me. "Come on, girl. There's nothing to be afraid of when you're with us."

"Heh, I sure hope so. I mean, you guys could be serial killers for all I know."

That causes them all to burst into a fit of hysterical laughter.

I take a look at all that their little home has to offer. A hole in the back of the cave is quite airy as I pass by it. A bookshelf sits against a wall filled to the brim with all genres of books. Stroking the spine of a certain book, I pull it out and analyze the cover. The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan.

"Hmm......interesting book. What's with the cave?"

"We prefer it to most places. We've been living here since the hotel sank into the cliff."

"So, you must be pretty old, then?"

"You could say that."

"Hm...ancient, ride motorcycles, wear leather, reckless, and live in a cave. That says vampire to me, guys. No ordinary human would live in a cave."

"Well guys, she's smart. Took the last guy two weeks to figure out what we are."
