Dear Journal,
As a society, as humans we complain often about things that have a logical solution. I try to help people with the issues that they face. I am the person who most people come to to vent and talk. With all my experience dealing with others problems, it leads me to believe that they don't want their problems fixed- the majority of them anyways. They bathe in the torment of dramatics. We like to complain about things; it gives us something to do. Whenever someone ask for advice on a certain situation, a problem they are having they don't truly want your help. They just want someone to listen to them. Now, there isn't anything wrong with it, wanting someone to listen to you. But there is a point where all the complaining, all the self pity, all the wallowing gets ridiculous. Any person in sound of mind would realize that that is unhealthy to continuously talk about toxic things in your life. To continuously rape your mind with things that cause you pain. If you truly wanted to solve things, to make your life right, you would find the solution. A way to combat the things you feel. I like to think every person thinks as this. But it's simply not true. We've been dumbed down, and taught to think a particular way about particular things. No one thinks for themselves anymore. We're influenced by people who know nothing of 'true living'. But almost everything in our society has become subjective and variable. As a society, we've lost the simple things that makes us human. We've lost all proper and morally correct values. But, as said, those values are and will be subjective. I've come to the conclusion that you can only rely on yourself and figure out things by your own experience and research.
