I kept running down the hallway and behind me I hear men shouting orders and telling me to stop. Never stop running.
I had the strongest urge to look back. How close are they? Just one look.
I turned my head for a second and for that second, time slowed down for me. People were crouched down and aiming their guns at me. They were about to shoot.
I turned around a corner sharply and I reached to a dead end.No wait.
It's an iron door and there's a code panel on the wall. If I could just figure out the code. Six letters. They're plenty if words with six letters! I hear them coming closer and my stomach twisted to a knot. Then I remembered the only word that was all over the Glade. On the beatle blades and the supplies. WICKED. I had no choice they were now right behind me. I typed in the letters hoping it would work. Please work. Please work!
The light suddenly turned green and the door slowly began to rise up. I smiled brightly and crawled underneath it and started running again. I was free!

I was stilling running and running. The risk of them following me out here was too high. I had to keep going. The cold wind would throw sand in my face and it would sting like needles. My eyes were closed practically the whole time. Soon my sprint turned into a jog and then to a walk. I must've been running for hours because my lungs were burning and my muscles in my legs were aching.I couldn't catch my breath without inhaling sand, which burned my throat. I had no food or water and the desert went on and on. Soon the night sky turned lighter which meant it was dawn. I've been running all night. As the sun began to rise in the distance, I felt my legs grow weaker and weaker and soon I collapsed. I closed my eyes feeling the heat of the sun beat against my skin. I was too exhausted to even open my eyes. Voices could be heard in the distance, coming closer towards me. I tried to open my eyes, but all I could see were blurry figures hovered over me. I didn't care anymore if I died. So be it. I'll never see my friends again, so take me whoever you are. I'm ready. My body was being lifted from the ground, and that was the last thing I felt before I passed out.
