Chapter 16

Emma and I finally found way to convince them. It was simple really.

"W.I.C.K.E.D. Sent us here because we are still being their little lab rats. So why are we against each other? We were both sent here to go to the Safe Haven so why try to kill each other? Especially Thomas. He's on our side." I explained, "And him and Teresa...used to be friends. They were close. I know because I was in the maze with them."

"Wait... How were you in the maze with them? We didn't have two boys in our maze." A girl I later found out her name was Sonya asked.

"I...I don't know. Maybe it was a mistake."

"I doubt W.I.C.K.E.D. Makes mistakes." A girl named Harriet said.

"It doesn't matter! " Emma raised her voice completely annoyed by the pointless questions.

"Thank you. She's right it doesn't matter. What does matter is that we all get to the Safe Haven alive." They all looked at each other like they were considering it.

"Guys she has a point. Once we reach the Safe Haven and get the cure we'll all be free from this. Screw Teresa. If she wants to throw a fit, let her have a temper tantrum." Emma finally said then the other girls nodded.

"Okay sounds good. Untie him and let's get to the Safe Haven." Harriet said and Thomas was set free.

We were in the mountains where the trees seemed to be dead and hollow. It was cooler up here but still hot of course. Until finally in a clear area I could see some people down there. The boys. My boys. I smiled big and started to run down there. The gravel slid around under my feet but I managed to not slip and fall. Finally I made it. Some were sitting and some where standing.

"Well look who it is." Minho smiled but then it faded.

"Sorry to disappoint you but they lied to us."

"What do you mean? " I asked.

"Those dumb shanks liked to us! There's no cure here just a stupid stick with a flag on it! "
I pushed my way through the crowd and Minho was right. Bastards lied to us! I took a step back and sighed.

"Great..." I sat down.

"Where's Thomas? " Newt asked. I smiled when he spoke. Why?

"He's..." I looked around but he wasn't there. "I swear he was just here?"

"He's probably with his girlfriend making out somewhere. " Minho rolled his eyes.

I scrunched my face and chuckled. "Ew I don't want to picture that. " I secretly knew it wasn't happening.

"Well that Aris guy is gone, too. " Frypan exclaimed.

"Well if they wanna bloody run off, then let em. " Newt sighed and sat next to me. "You alright love?" he asked with his calm sweet accent.

My heart ached from Newt rejecting me. "I'm fine. " I replied coldly and looked away.

"Y/N I.. "

He was suddenly interrupted with Teresa, Thomas, and Aris running down the hill. People were asking questions, but I noticed that the ground was shaking.
