The Grimm(Scary Story)

The Grimm~*5*

I was holding Johnny tightly in my arms while rocking him back and forth trying to get him to tell me what was wrong, but at the moment all he wanted was for me to hold him. I thanked the principal for calling me and told him I was just going to take him home, because he was not feeling well at all, he was still so scared that he didn't want me to let him go, so I held him in my arms as I drove toward Serenity. I pulled out my phone and dialed Criss even though I knew he probably wouldn't answer his phone, and left him a lil message for not answering Johnny's school and not to worry that I handled it and was taking him home.

When I carried Johnny into the house he was sound asleep, Klayton held the door open for me since Johnny didn't want me to let him go at all. I carried him up to his room and laid him down after prying his lil hands loose because even in his sleep he had a death grip around my neck. Klayton just watched in admiration, at what an awesome mom I would be, then it would piss him off all over again, knowing how piss poor Criss was treating me. 

My family was all sound asleep from the long flight they all had, I was now in the kitchen forgetting all about the argument/fight Criss and I were in and started prepping dinner for when he came home. Klayton helped out with his master chef skills, I was always afraid when he sliced and diced because he did it so fast without looking, I was afraid he was going to chop his damned finger or hand off, but he and Criss were very good at it. So I learned to ignore it anymore for the most part. I left him to his own concoctions while I went to the dining room and set the table.

I thought Criss would be home but when the doorbell rang it wasn't Criss but his family, they too were a few days early. Costa didn't hesitate and grabbed me as he spun me in a full circle saying how much he missed me, and that he was so happy that I was still with the family. When I didn't answer him he stopped abruptly and asked me what was wrong, and what did his brother do this time. JD pushed Costa out of the way and told him to keep his nose out, and let us settle our own squabbles as he leaned in and kissed me on the cheek.

Lynn walked past me with just a slight smile and a weak greeting, she and I never did get along at all, but that was fine by me, I only tolerated her because she was JD's wife. I think a little of it was jealousy because JD and Costa both adored me. Costa's wife Letty though loved me as a real sister, and I loved her too, she was more of a tomboy like I was and we had a better understanding of each other, than most did. I didn't have to show them to their rooms for as long as they've been here they knew more about the house than I did, so while they made themselves at home and put their sleeping kids to bed for their nap before dinner, I finished getting it all ready.

Letty came down first and asked what I was going to be for the Halloween party that was coming up, because she was super-excited about it, for just like me, Halloween was her favorite holiday too. I told her I wasn't sure anymore, because the party was supposed to be themed as couple costumes and I wasn't sure if Criss and I were a couple anymore. Letty gave me a hug and said she would knock some since into his stupid ass, because she and all the others agreed that I was the best thing that's happened for Criss ever since Johnny's mom passed.

JD and Lynn came down along with Costa and sat down at the table just to chat until Criss came home and while waiting for dinner to be served. Klayton helped me place the meal on the table then he sat down and began bullshitting with Costa, for they loved locking horns so-to-speak. I went back into the kitchen and got all the kids meals prepared and sat their personal kid table up in the corner and pulled out non-spillable cups and poured juice in them. Finally everything was ready, and Klayton asked me to sit down before I fell down from overworking myself.

I was still upset knowing that I didn't feel right being here without Criss allowing me back in the house. But knock on wood right as I was thinking it the front door burst open and up jumped the devil, Criss was home, he tossed his shit in the corner and walked into his crowded dining room...as soon as he saw me in the house I could feel his cold stare shoot thru me...and I couldn't help but lower my eyes. 

Klayton stood up and met him before he sat down and pulled him into the privacy of the study room and shut the doors. I knew it! Klayton was starting world war III about me and I just wasn't mentally or emotionally ready for any of it, so I went up stairs to check on Johnny. He was still sound asleep curled up with his bunny so I crawled in beside him and took a catnap with him, hoping like hell Criss didn't decide to toss me out permanently after what Klayton had to say to him.

Back down in the study Klayton was telling Criss off about how he's been treating me, and asked why in the hell was he being such a dickhead about me wanting to live my life with him and Johnny, and that I was the best thing he could ever get...and if he honestly didn't want me anymore just to tell him and he'd gladly take me back, because everyone and their brother knew how much he still loved me.
