The Grimm(Scary Story)

The Grimm~*13*

Supper was over with finally and all the kids gathered around us as we gave them the rules about always staying with one of the adults, and not going into any of the houses unless one of us went with them. Then Klayton added that none of the candy was to be eaten until it was checked by one of the adults, because there was a lot of sicko's out there that liked putting razor blades and poisons in candy especially in the larger cities like Vegas. Lynn changed her mind at the last minute and decided she wanted to stay home but so did Kevin, Ethan, Abby, and Kim for they wanted to save their energy for the party after the kids went to bed.  Karalea didn't have any kids, so she stayed behind to help the others get the adult party ready along with Sandy, Letty, and Costa.

So it was just Klayton, Criss, Tommy, Sully, JD, Rachel and I that took all the kids out for their trick or treating...but it turned out ok, for we had the toughest and most protective guys with us. Johnny stayed right in between Klayton and Criss the entire time that was until he got a lil sleepy, then he wanted either me or JD to hold him. most of the other kids chose to stay close to Tommy and Sully I guess their tattoos and piercings made them think they were safer. Rachel and I took the rear of the group so we could catch up on girl chat and let the boys have some fun. 

Tommy's two boys Mickey and Mark were the oldest so they took it upon themselves to hold the younger kids' hands when they went up to each house and made sure they didn't get bullied by the other teen punks that were ransacking the neighborhood. Dimi was the third oldest followed by Sam and Emily, then Skylar with Hayley, Lily, and Johnny being the youngest. On we strolled house to house letting all the kids strike it rich on all kinds of goodies. It wasn't until we made it to the southern part of the city that Klayton said it was probably time to call it a night because he didn't like the idea of taking the kids on the bad side of the city. Tommy and Sully both looked at their watches and said it was only 10 pm and that they could check out at least another block of houses for the kids.

Mickey, Mark, Sam, Emily, and Dimi really wanted to go to more houses and get more treats, Rachel and I were getting a little tired from all the walking since we were holding Skylar and Hayley because they got tired of walking and fell asleep in our arms. Criss thought about it for a moment, then finally gave in and said they would check out one more block, then we all were heading back to Serenity. Johnny was still walking slowly behind his uncle Klayton looking thru his candy bag when a strange presence began to pull him toward a certain house on the corner.

Johnny strayed from the group as he slowly got closer to the old house, the shudders were barely hanging by a hinge next to the glassless windows. A strange misty fog wafted in the air around the house, it looked abandoned but the porch light was dimly shining. Johnny slowly crawled up the steps and onto the porch where a single black trunk-like box was sitting in a cradle. It was oddly decorated with demonic creatures and it had a weirdly shaped lock on it. Johnny was both scared of the box but overly curious at the same time, and something was telling him to open it. He gently touched the box with his fingers and slid them down to where the lock was. He didn't know how he knew how to open it, but he instinctively put his finger in the center and pressed it.

Criss and I had a very bad feeling rush thru us as we both looked around noticing that Johnny wasn't with us anymore. We both hollered out for him, All of Klayton's nightmares hit him at once and he turned around to the old house and beat us to the yard as he was hollering at Johnny not to touch it! And to get away from the house! 

But it was too late, the box automatically opened after Johnny touched the center of the lock, and the entire area was swarmed by a deep, dark, and evil cloud that thrust Klayton off the porch and into the street. By the time Criss and I made it to Klayton the darkness was gone but the unknown evil was set free. Klayton slowly stood up and said his nightmares just became fucking reality, and we were all in deep shit without mucking boots or a shovel. I made it to the porch where Johnny was still sitting on the top step, but he was in shock and didn't really know what was going on except that he was in trouble for doing something bad. Criss pulled him and me both into his arms and tried to calm Johnny down by telling him that it wasn't his fault and that he didn't know any better. Klayton gathered the rest of the kids up and told everyone that we needed to make a beeline to Serenity because he didn't know what all was going to happen, but his gut feelings were telling him it was going to be very bad.

We all rushed as fast as we could with a lot of worn out kids in between us, but we finally made it to Serenity's front yard with nothing out of the ordinary happening, maybe it was all just a Halloween prank and we were the suckers this time. So we all went into the house and got the kids into their nightgowns, and checked thru all their goodies and took out some shady treats and tossed them in the trash, then we let each of them have two pieces before bed. As soon as the kids went to sleep we all went into the basement where the adult party was being held, and we let the dark experience we had, left our minds as the party started, but some things shouldn't be forgotten...and the true Halloween nightmare was just beginning...
