Jungkook arrived at the house later that night, still reeling in from this morning. He's parched on the couch of Yoongi's office as he listens to me go over the game plan once more. For the greater good, Jungkook would always put his emotions aside; well, in this instance at least.

"Are you listening?" I ask him when I see that he's dazing off.

He nods. "I'm ready," he says.

"You sure?"

Jungkook strides toward the door only to lock me inside.

"What the hell, Jungkook!" I bang on the door when the knob doesn't turn. "Open the door!"

"I'm not letting you go with me, I won't let you risk it," he says. "There's food in the fridge," is the last thing he says before the other side of the door goes silent.

This is a joke.

I sit there on the floor, pondering the many things that could go wrong with Jungkook initiating the plan by himself. He had no experience of the business whatsoever, he strived to have nothing to do with it yet he's taking it head on like nobody's business.

It would be my fault, my responsibility if anything were to happen to him. Could I live with that, again?

After an hour of yelling and attempting to break down the door, I realized that Yoongi would never allow himself to be in a room with only one exit.

The guy spends his entire life in here.

And sure enough, after rummaging every book on his shelf and feeling up every inch of the wall, I found a hallowed out section of the wooden floor. With one stomp, the entire thing fell through and it led to our cellar.

I left the house and drove over to Seokjin's condo where his men were rumored to have taken over after his departure. Taehyung might've averted his attention elsewhere after weighing in the importance of his business, but I wasn't going to let our family be the underhand any longer.

I knocked on the door and it opened right away, revealing a confused Jungkook.

"I thought I-"

"Well you thought wrong," I push past him.

"You need to go back, this isn't safe for-"

"The baby? If I went back then nothing will get resolved and the baby will be just as endangered," I slam the door shut. "Now, where's everyone at?"

Jungkook bites his lip and holds up a sheet of paper. I take it from him and read it faster than I could comprehend.

"Seems like your lovely husband has gotten to them before us," he sneers.

"Maybe not all of us." And suddenly, we were surrounded with pistols aiming right at us. Men, all clad in black and armored with protective gear. "Taehyung might be a step ahead, but we're miles further."

Shit.

I ate dust the moment I was thrown on the ground. My all black outfit reaped the consequences and was now smocked with dirt, looking even worse than if it were on white.

The ever-so handsome Seokjin was sitting before me, knife in hand. He had his head rested on his other hand that was propped on top of his knee as he stared at me for the longest. It was as if he had never gotten beat up- his face was perfection once again. "You're pretty," he says. "I can see why you've managed to have both brothers in such a frenzy."

"Blood brothers, at that." He tosses the knife away and gets to his feet.

"A pretty girl in an ugly world," he snatches my chin toward him. "Be mine and you'll get to have the best of both worlds."

As tempting as that sounded, I wasn't interested- any longer at least. "What would being yours... entail?" I couldn't deny him and lose my way in. I was going to fool him to my advantage, use my womanly charms to win him over.

He pulls me close and we're no longer strangers when he presses his lips against mine, selfishly taking them for himself. Seokjin was rough in the most frightening way possible- and not in the kind I thought I'd enjoyed. "Everything," he whispers once he pulls away.

"Okay," I say.

He looks surprised.

"But promise you'll leave Taehyung and my family alone."

He agreed- that was all I needed in the meantime. I had to buy more time in order to get the upper hand and put an end to all this nonsense.
