"Jungkook."

I could hear the movement of his clothing as he walks to the door. There's a slight hitch in his breath as he speaks.

"Ara?" I could hear the worry in his voice- not for himself, but for me. He was so foolish to be worried about me when he, himself, was literally caged in like a prisoner.

"I'm gonna get you out of here, just give me some time," I whisper. I hated the fact that I'd gotten him into this predicament- I should've never asked for his help.

"What do you mean get me out of here? You need to get yourself out as soon as possible!"

I could never leave him like that. I've done so so many times that I thought I'd get used to it by now, but it looks as though I haven't- and never will. "I'm sorry I dragged you into this, Jungkook."

There was a short silence. "I was born into this," he reminded me. "We both were."

"You're safe as long as I'm here," I assure him. "And don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

I had to walk away this time. For everyone's sake.

"So then it's settled," Seokjin moves away from the doorway. His body that once covered up the truth I was looking for was revealed, and I was beyond shocked. I wanted more than anything to not have seen what I did.

"Thank you."

I immediately step inside. "Jia?"

The bitch. It was her all along.

Love makes you do crazy things, but this was beyond crazy. Betraying the same guy that's held you down for the longest? I could understand how she'd get upset over the words he said... but this was too far. She was putting everyone in danger, including herself.

"So you're the one that freed Seokjin?" I pointed at her, trying to connect all of the dots. "You're the one that's been feeding information to the foreigners?"

"What foreigners? I haven't done anything but help Seokjin escape," Jia stood up so quick that her chair nearly went flying back. She was more defensive than I thought she'd be. I this point, I didn't think she'd even care.

Seokjin slings his arm around my waist. "Is that such a bad thing?"

"Yes, you're literally targeting my family."

He only grins. "Well, you can't exactly hold me accountable," he says. "I don't want anything to do with any of you as much as I even want to be in Korea,"

"Everything was Jimin's idea," Seokjin takes a seat behind his desk.

Jimin?

As in the same person that rescued Jungkook?

"Jimin?" I question.

Seokjin types on his keyboard, the clicking moving in synchronization with my accelerated heartbeat as I wait for him to answer. He turns his laptop around and it's displaying an article- one of Park Jimin.

He was a rich businessman with countless awards for the most successful importing company in all of Asia- that was until Taehyung's family took their spot.

"What does my family have to do with any of this?" I ask. "Jungwoo's a kid."

"Jungwoo was an accident, none of us planned for it to be him who gets shot," he says. "He was just there."

Asshole.

I honestly couldn't believe that someone as physically blessed as Seokjin would be so emotionally, internally cursed. His life would be damned because of his heartlessness.

And Jia- that fucking traitor bitch.

"I'm honestly more disgusted with you," I turn to her. "Do you honestly thing Taehyung will accept you? Especially after doing all this?"

She scoffs, getting teary-eyed at the thought of him. "I knew he'd never, as long as you're here."

"Then why'd you do it?"

"Because of this," she reaches into her back pocket and pulls out a pistol.
