I open up my door, and take the keys out. I walk into the quiet house, expecting to have Holly run up at me meowing. She didn't. This had me worried. "Holly..?" I called out. "Holly, come out!" There was a faint meow. "Holly? Where are youuu?" I said, waiting for a response. There was a yowl, slightly louder. It was coming from the kitchen! I raced in, and found that Holly had somehow turned on the sink, and fell in.
I laughed loudly. "You silly cat!" I thought of how Sans would react to this. Why are you thinking about Sans? I scolded myself. Are you already missing his puns? I chuckled at the first pun he ever told me. I decided to text him.
Nagayto: Sans. Sans!
Sans: oh, hey
Nagayto: Knock knock!
Sans: who's there
Nagayto: Annie!
Sans: annie who
Nagayto: Annie thing you could do, I could do better.
Sans: oh god kid, that's awesome
Nagayto: I'm only a year younger than you, I think!
Sans: im 21
Nagayto: I'm 22 bitch
Sans: oh
Nagayto: Haha!
Sans: my bro's yelling at me rn
Sans: and i have no idea why
Nagayto: Of course he wouldn't want you talking to trash like me!
Sans: you arent-
Sans: n e v e r m i n d
He stopped texting back for a while, so I got up to my computer again, and got onto my favorite game, Deltarune. After thirty minutes had passed, and I had just defeated K. Round, Sans texted back.
Sans: he yelled at me for not inviting you over for thirty minutes
Nagayto: He wants to meet trash like me? Oh, I'm so happy!
Sans: apparently
Nagayto: Oh, wow! Symbols of hope like you two really want ME to come over?
Sans: sure, idc
Nagayto: I don't know where you live!
Sans: we live right next to Grillby's, on the other side of the place
Nagayto: Okay, I live a few houses away from Grillby's.
Sans: see ya soon
I quit Deltarune after saving, put my phone in my pocket, unlocked my door, and left after locking my door. I walked over to Grillby's, and passed it, and saw a big house right next to it. This must be the place! I thought, excitement tingling in my heart. It had Christmas lights strung on the roof, with a wreath on the door. I walked up, and knocked on the door.
"Who's there?" I heard a voice ask. It was Sans. "Candice." I replied. "Candice who?" He asked. "Candice door open?" I asked, laughing. He burst into laughter, and opened the door. "Come on in!" I stepped inside, and looked around. There was a TV on, with Mettaton dancing in box form, in a blue dress with many layers. A tall, tall skeleton, was sitting on the couch, entranced.
"Hi, Mr. Skeleton." I said to him, poking his shoulder. He looked up, and screamed, "HELLO NAGITO! IT IS I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, YOUR NEW BESTEST FRIEND!" He lifted me up into a giant hug. I squealed, "Can't breathe!" He hastily let go. I collapsed to the floor, gasping for breath. Having many, many diseases is very fun.
"OH NO SANS, I BROKE THE HUMAN!" He shrieked. He charged out of the door, screaming wildly. "Paps!" Sans yelled after him, helping me up. "You didn't break Nagito! You didn't break him!" Papyrus broke down in the grass. "OH SANS, YES I DID!" He screamed melodramatically. I walked out of the door and yelled at him, "PAPYRUS! You didn't break me!"
He looked up, and squawked, "THE HUMAN IS ALIVE!" And charged off into the distance. "NYEH HEH HEH!!!" I started after him, but Sans put his freezing cold skeleton hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry," He said calmingly, not realizing I was blushing from his touch. "He'll be back."
*Le Timeu Skipu*
It had been a few months since that first visit to Sans and Papyrus's house. And I had been invited to a sleepover! I don't know why, but it made me feel strangely.. Exhilarated. I put one thing in my bag, and one thing only. A comb. I put on my backpack, and ran down the stairs. I had a cat sitter here, by the name of Toriel.
"Are you sure you'll be okay with Holly?" I questioned. "She's like my child." Toriel nodded. "I'm great with animals, as well as kids, my child. Don't you worry!" I sighed. "Sorry, I just worry a ton when I leave Holly with someone else." Toriel looked up at me. "Don't worry, I understand." I waved at her. "Bye, Mrs. Dreemurr!" I called, and ran out the door.
I skip down the street, and suddenly, there was loud growling from the alleyway next to Grillby's place. I hesitantly look over. There was a giant, snarling monster, the size of a truck, feasting on some dead thing. It looked over at me, and gave me an almost human smile, and took after me. I walked as fast as I could, wheezing out, "Help! Help me!" I picked up a rock, and flung it at the thing's head. It whacked straight into it, and it went careening over.
It didn't take long before it struggled to its feet. I raced over as fast as possible to Sans's house, and bang my fists on the door, screaming, "Sans! Help me!" He opened the door, looking confused, and then saw the giant monster charging up to his house. He pulled me in, and slammed the door. I sank to the ground, shaking and crying. He wrapped his arm around me, and tried to calm me. "Come on, Nagi, you're okay!" Papyrus walked in, and saw me on the ground.
"OH, POOR HUMAN!" He cried, and hugged me tight. I giggled softly, and hugged him back. Sans said, "Hey kid, how about you sleep on the couch tonight?" I nodded. "Okay." He disappeared off somewhere. "Papy!" Paps looked over. "YES HUMAN?" He asked. "Where did Sans go?" He looked around, and sighed. "HE TELEPORTED SOMEWHERE, THAT LAZY BONES COULDN'T AFFORD TO WALK." I nodded at him. "Thanks Papy!" He strutted off into the kitchen. I remembered one of Sans's warnings. When Papyrus goes to the kitchen, you'd be better off running to my room. When Paps cooks, things get pretty messy.
I grabbed my things, and rushed up the stairs to Sans's room. I heard something hit the ground, and a small grunt. Something opened up Sans's door, and I screamed. I fell back, windmilling my arms wildly. Sans rushed forward, and grabbed my waist. I felt my face heat up wildly, as we stared into each other's eyes. His face was slightly tinted with blue as he pulled me up and detached himself from me.
He looked down at the ground, and I realized I had dropped my bag. I picked it up and laughed. Sans said, "Come on in." I walked in, and set my bag down. I got a text suddenly, from my friend Hajime.
Hajime: Hello Nagito, this is my daily reminder that I hate you
Nagayto: It's natural, who doesn't?
Hajime: Goodbye
