☆Chapter 6☆ : Daniel's mom

Hope's POV

I was walking home with Daniel, who was laughing at some lame jokes I made.

We stopped in front of his house and when he opened the door, he froze.

I looked over his shoulder to see a woman patting the hair of his other body.

-Mom? He said, still shocked.

-Yes, you are? Said the woman, turning to him. Who are you?

Daniel was panicking, now remembering that she doesn't know it's ''her'' Daniel.

-Hello, ma'am. Nice to meet you. So you are Daniel's mother? I've heard so much about you. Said Daniel, sweating.

We entered the little house, and Daniel invented a story about how him and little Daniel live together to save on rent.

-So to save on rent, you two are living together? She asked, surprised.

-Yes... Yes!

-And Daniel is sleeping before heading to his part-time job?

-Yes...yes! He has an after-school job to pay his living expenses. Said Daniel, scratching his neck.

-Oh...He's all grown up. Said his mom, tears in her eyes. Living with a friend to save on rent... Working and studying at the same time...She smiled. Oh, what is your name?

-Ah- I'm also Daniel Park.

-Amazing! Really? What are odds? I do see the resemblance between you two... She said, clasping her hands together.

-Oh... yes. Said Daniel, embarrassed.

Then, she turned to me, noticing me.

-Are you Daniel's girlfriend?? She said, smiling.

-H-Hum N-N- Stuttered Daniel.

-Yes, I'm his girl – friend. I said, trying to clarify the fact that I'm a girl, and his friend.

-W-What?

-You have good taste for men, young lady! She said, happy. Do you have time to chat? I want to hear about Daniel...

Big Daniel nodded, but I said;

-I'm sorry, I promised a friend I'll show her around since she's new. Maybe another time! I said, walking out of the house.

Hope's POV

I came back home with Mina, when I saw Daniel following Vasco.

-Go on, I'll come back, I said, putting a hand on my friend's shoulder.

I followed them until they stopped walking inside an abandoned place.

I hid behind a broken wall to not be seen.

-Prepare yourself. Said Vasco, getting rid of his Jacket.

Seeing that Daniel didn't move, he said;

-Leaving your jacket on? You'll regret that.

Daniel was frozen, not understanding the situation.

-You think it's a joke, huh? Today, we go all the way. Continued Vasco.

Daniel was petrified.

Poor boy.

-Come here. Let's start.

Daniel still didn't move, really confused on why Vasco wanted to beat him up.
