Emily's POV
The first week in Miami flew by faster than I thought was even possible. Now, Ali and I only have one more week before we have to go back to boring, cold Rosewood. I rub my eyes, stretching to look at the clock. 9:42am - I should probably get up now.
"Hey Ali?" I call out from the bed.
Alison peeks out from around the corner and smiles. "Yes?" Just the sight of seeing Ali makes me jittery. I stare mindlessly at her gorgeous blue eyes and her beautiful flowy blonde hair. Her hair honestly looks like a blonde waterfall, cascaded with some darker and some lighter ripples. Alison clears her throat, knocking me back to reality.
"Em? You needed me?"
"Oh uh s-sorry I was jus--"
"Staring." Alison says, smirking.
I look down at my hands as I feel my cheeks turn red.
"I find it so cute how I still make you nervous." Ali laughs, walking over to me.
"Shut up." I mutter, burrowing my head in the pillow to save me from further embarrassment.
"Get up lazy bum. The hotel breakfast is going to end in like an hour." Alison replies, hitting me with another pillow.
After Ali leaves the room, her phone buzzes loudly. I reach over to see who's calling, but it's just a text. A text from some random number? I open the text and my eyebrows furrow in confusion at the words in front of me.
"Hey Ali it's Lucas. Miss you and can't wait for you to come home!"
Who's Lucas? I've never heard of him before, but he's probably just a friend. I place the phone back on the nightstand and walk into the bathroom to clean up.
"Finally, you got up." Ali teases as I walk into the main lobby where breakfast is served.
"Well maybe if you hadn't pounced on me and tired me out so much last night, I would've woken up earlier." I reply defensively, giving her a look.
"Oh well then I'm sorry." Alison replies in a tone that is far from sorry. "So, what are we doing today?"
"I have today planned out perfectly." I state in a matter-of-a-factly tone.
"Really. Is that so?"
"Yup. And don't ask me what it is because all of it is going to be a surprise." I grin. "So get into your bathing suit and let's go."
Alison looks at me skeptically but smiles nonetheless.
"Are you going to tell me where we're going at least?" Alison whines, tugging on my right arm.
"There's only so many places we can go on a beach considering the fact that it's only water and sand." I answer with a smirk.
"Hmph." Alison turns her head and pouts. I lean over and kiss the top of her head, smiling resolutely. I lead Ali over to a small booth positioned near the light house.
"Hi, Fields." I tell the employee.
"Hmm..ah yes there you are. The boat is waiting for you outside and here is your life jackets. Wear these bracelets so the guy knows you've paid already. Enjoy!"
I give the man a nod of thanks and walk toward the boat.
"We're going on a boat?" Ali asks.
"Not exactly." I reply cryptically, arriving at the boat. Ten minutes later, I turn to see a shocked Ali next to me. The man on the boat ties us into our seats and pulls down the safety bar to our laps.
