  Badgerpaw watched as Baypaw entered. He sat next to her, his pale yellow coat glowing in the rising sun and a fish hanging from his jaws.
  "This should be interesting," Badgerpaw commented as she saw the fish. "I've never tried fish!"
  Baypaw smiles at Badgerpaw's enthusiasm.
  "You are the first cat out of RiverClan who has EVER reacted to having to eat fish that way!" Baypaw exclaimed.
  "Just another thing to add to the list of odd things about me!" Badgerpaw replied.
  Baypaw dropped the fish at her paws and Badgerpaw gave a bite. The fish was slimy and tasted a bit watery, but Badgerpaw loves it.
  "So delicious!" Badgerpaw meowed through a mouthful of fish.
  "Well, I should go, Dewclaw is waiting for me," Baypaw meowed, slaking our of the entrance.

  Badgerpaw looked at the stars of the night sky, the usual silhouette was blocking it mainly, but Badgerpaw could still see. Suddenly to another silhouette, smaller, came. In a moment the silhouettes intertwined, by the muzzle and throat. Before Badgerpaw understood what had happened her guard was lying still in the ground and the silver light of the moon shimmered in pools of blood. The smaller figure came in and Badgerpaw was slightly relieved when a familiar voice came.
  "Badgerpaw, I'm gettin you out, I don't care if it's against the Warrior Code," Baypaw's voice meowed. "Follow."
  Baypaw exited, closely followed by Badgerpaw. They were a tail-length to the border when a hiss sounded in the air.
  "What do we have here?" It hissed.
  Badgerpaw's blood froze, and Baypaw visibly winded, the voice was Hollowstream's.
  "Is someone disobeying the Code?" Hollowstream's voice was cold as ice, sending a chill down the apprentice's' spines.
  "Maybe I don't want to follow a Code that allows innocent cats to be kidnapped!" Baypaw growled.
  "Then you can die!" Dewclaw's voice slipped through the night.
  "BAYPAW RUN!" Badgerpaw yowled. "Save yourself, I'll be fine."
  Baypaw stayed out and Badgerpaw heard pawsteps behind them, getting closer. She shoved Baypaw last tail-length across the border.
  "Go through ThunderClan territory until you meet someone from ThunderClan, then tell them what has-" Badgerpaw was cutoff by a forceful push to the ground and a mouthful of mud.
  "Run for your life, puny apprentice!"
A new voice growled from above Badgerpaw.
  Badgerpaw watched the tom's pale yellow pelt disappear as she was picked up by the scruff, very easily seeing as she was the size of a kit herself. She was carried to camp and brought to Troutstar's den.
  "Troutstar!" Hollowstream yowled.
  "Enter," Troutstar's voice replied.
  They entered the den and Badgerpaw was thrown into the ground, a pain came from her shoulder and she heard a crack.
  "Baypaw is a traitor!" Hollowstream growled.
  "What has he done?" Troutstar's asked.
  "He attempted to sneak out prisoner over the border, but luckily me, Dewclaw, and Addersnap caught them in time," Hollowstream explained. "Baypaw got away."
  "The prisoner will stay with me," Troutstar growled. "She'll be used tomorrow at sunhigh. Send a message to ThunderClan telling Sapstar to bring her deputy, medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice and all of Badgerpaw's family. If you find Baypaw; Kill him."
  Hollowstream nodded and ran out from the den.
  "As for you," Badgerpaw felt Troutstar's eyes burn through her pelt. "You will not leave this den, if you do, you will never see ThunderClan again. Understand?"
  "Yes," Badgerpaw mewed. She didn't try to get up, knowing her shoulder would falter under the pressure. "I doubt I could leave if I even wanted, I think when I was thrown in here my shoulder got twisted."
  "Sleep, we want you in semi-good condition," Troutstar growled.

  Sun shimmered through into the den and Badgerpaw woke. She looked over and saw the sun slipping towards its highest points.
  "Up," Troutstar commanded from behind her.
  Badgerpaw stood on her legs, but quickly fell again as her shoulder faltered.
  "Hollowstream, Dewclaw!" Troutstar yowled.
  The cats entered immediately.
  "You will help Badgerpaw walk," He meowed.
  Badgerpaw felt herself lift up and become supported between two bodies. Troutstar's exited and the others followed.

  Sunhigh shone through the leaves as they entered the border. Badgerpaw looked at the assembled ThunderClan cats and knew who was there: Sapstar, Littlewing, Willowflight, Fernpaw, Skunkfur, Lighteye, and Bearpaw.
  "Sapstar!" Troutstar called, placing himself to where Badgerpaw was out of sight. "We propose a trade."
  Troutstar stopped at the river.
  "Wait!" Sapstar hissed. "I think you'll know I've caught your spy!"
  Baypaw stepped up by Sapstar.
  "Ha! We don't care about TRAITORS!" Troutstar yowled.
  "What did he do?" Sapstar asked.
  "He attempted to steal what we are going to offer as trade," Troutstar's purred. "This is our trade: Leadership over ThunderClan, for HER."
  He stepped away and showed Badgerpaw, he signaled with his tail and the bodies supporting Badgerpaw let go, her shoulder faltered and she fell to the ground.
  "Badgerpaw!" Bearpaw rain forward, ignoring Lighteye's shout to stop. He crossed the river and stopped by her side. He lifted her with his shoulder and supported her.
  "We do not accept this trade," Sapstar growled, "but I guessed that you had Badgerpaw, so I have come prepared."
  Warriors appeared from behind the trees. Troutstar bristled and the RiverClan cats ran away, knowing they were already defeated.
  Bearpaw helped Badgerpaw over the river and they started the walk home.
