(Keith's POV) Lance and I woke up earlier than we expected and decided to go out and get some breakfast. "It's raining..." Lance looked out the window, "Yeah... it's getting colder..." I sighed, "Hey... Keith?" Lance looked at me. "yeah...?" I looked at him meeting his eyes. "Can we take a break...As in... travel... Leave the Garrison for a while? I wanna take some time off... with you..." Lance smiled, "I'd love to... but with the attack that just happened... I don't think we can leave now... "Then let's travel with the Lions if we're needed we can get over there in no time..." Lance tried to compromise, "We could but... I just don't want to risk it, Lance..." I looked down, "I... I guess your right..." Lance sighed, "Hey... as soon as this is all over... I'll take you anywhere..." I smiled holding his hand. Lance smiled and looked at me. "Hey... I have an idea..." I smiled, "Yeah?" Lance tilted his head a little, "Let's go to your house... let's show your abuela that she is wrong..." Keith said Lance went a little pale, "Are you sure? What if she hurts you?" Lance asked, "Then it'll be ok... We should at least try..." I smiled. "ok..." Lance nodded.

I drove Lance on my motorcycle to his house and we got to the door before freezing. "We got this... right?" Lance looked at me, "Yeah... We got this" I smirked and Lance opened the door. Abuela was sitting at the table talking with Veronica, she turned her head and saw us... She looked... mad... I gulped and Lance grabbed my hand walking inside, "¿Qué haces aquí con él, Lance?" (What are you doing here with him, Lance?) "Abuela... This is Keith my boyfriend and you're gonna like him or not even if you don't I'm not gonna put up with it, This is my choice and you can't stop me from doing this..." Lance looked at her and I could tell his grip tightened... Abuela got a little red... She walked over... I couldn't tell if she was gonna slap him or hug him or maybe even slap me... We both backed up to the door when Abuela raised her hand and she grabbed my arm and threw me on the ground and then slapped Lance... For being old she sure could land a hit... Lance crouched down holding his cheek and I turned and rubbed my arm."¡Mamá! ¡Así no es como tratas a tu nieto! Veronica lleva su casa a casa, no puede estar aquí ahora ..." (Mom! That is not how you treat your grandson! Veronica drive her home she can't be here right now...) Before Veronica grabbed her abuela she landed one last slap... Right across my face...

Veronica took her Abuela home... Lance came over to me and hugged me, "I'm so sorry Keith... I'm so sorry..." Lance spoke quietly almost a whisper, "It's ok Lance... I told you... no matter what happened I'd be fine..." I half smiled and kissed his forehead... Lances mom walked over, "You two ok...?" She asked, We both nodded and she walked to the kitchen and came back giving us both a cup of hot chocolate then took us to the couch... I leaned my head on Lance's shoulder and smiled. Lance smiled back and warmed up with me...

There's no place I'd rather be... No person I'd rather be with... And definitely no way I'd leave Lance. Not for all the money in the world...
