Flashbacks

Dick quickly ran into the mansion furious. Not even caring that he still had his costume on.

"Master Dick, I believe you forgot to take off your uniform." Alfred spoke to the angered Robin.

"Like you forgot to tell me that my parents killer was on the loose! Or did you not tell me that on purpose?" Alfred stared wide eyed.

"Master Wally had informed you?"

"No, he didn't. I didn't find out from you, Bruce, Wally, or even Barbara. I found out from the television!" Dick was now fighting to hold back tears.

"Master Dick. I am most sorry, but I believed it would be better for Master Bruce to tell you."

"Well he didn't tell me Alfred. I always thought I could at least trust you to tell me if anything was wrong, but I guess I was wrong."

"I wanted Master Bruce to keep his promise."

"And he didn't. So why didn't you tell him something, or yet just tell me."

"I believe Bruce wasn't telling you for a reason"

Dick just have Alfred a glare before going back into the bat cave to get out of uniform leaving Alfred alone with his thoughts.

Dick quickly got changed back into civvies and walked out of the Batcave to a guilty Alfred.

"Master Dick. I'm really sorry for not informing you of Zucco's escape. I realize you may still be angered with me, bu-"

Dick cut him off," I forgive you Alfred. I understand your reasons, but I want to know why Bruce didn't tell me. He's the one that promised, not you. Is he sorry for not telling me?"

"I'm sure Master Bruce had a perfectly legitimate reason for not telling you. Perhaps you can ask him tomorrow when he returns."

"Yeah...," Dick lowered his head," I'm gonna go sit outside for a second. I'll be back for dinner."

Dick sat outside unsure of what to do. He never thought Bruce would break his promise with him. Was that why we hung out with Dick that one day? So hanging with Dick will make up for breaking his promise? Did Bruce even know about Zucco that long ago?

Dick thought about the time Bruce made the promise. Would he have broken it then...

*Flash Back*

"Dick you could have gotten yourself hurt." Bruce yelled angered.

"I'm sorry, but I had too." Dick replied guilty.

"I told you I had it under control. You didn't need to come. You could have hurt yourself or Zucco."

"I needed to come. I couldn't watch someone else give Zucco justice. He didn't murder your parents Bruce! He murdered mine!" Dick was on the verge of tears. He wanted to make sure that Bruce understood what this meant to him.

"I get it Dick, but next time can you just tell me."

"You wouldn't listen." A few stray tears made their way down Dicks face.

"... I'm sorry," Bruce sighed as Alfred came into the Batcave," I'll make you a promise. If Tony Zucco ever gets free again then I will tell you. You will be the first I tell."

Dick looked up," You promise?"

"Yes, I do."

Dick smiled and gave Bruce a hug," Thank you."

After a while Dick let go and excused himself to his room.

"I believe that helped Master Richard deeply." Alfred stated," Will you keep this promise?"

"Of course." Bruce said never imagining that he'd break it.

End Of Flashback

Dick watched as a white van made its way slowly towards the mansion. What was the driver doing?

The van then stopped right in front of where Dick was sitting. He quickly got up fearing who was in the van.

Dick reached for his phone and rang for Wally, but he didn't answer before the two men exited the van.

"Get the kid!" One yelled and made their way for Dick.

"Leave me alone." Dick made his way to the door. Why hasn't Wally answered yet?! He couldn't call Bruce because he was on a mission, and the phone at the mansion wasn't working properly at the moment.

Dick then felt someone grab his neck and turn him around causing him to drop his phone. He felt something sharp prick his arm as the world began to darken. The edges of his eyes were darkening and he was finding it harder and harder to keep his eyes open. At least until he finally passed out. Then at that moment Wally answered the phone.

"Dick? Are you okay? Why did you call?"
