It was late at night and the boy wonder sat in a small chair in the large Batcave. He looked around noticing many new things that he hadn't noticed through out the five years he had known of the cave, but that wasn't his purpose for being in the Batcave.
He was waiting for Batman.
"Is it almost done?" The boy asked getting impatient. Batman had finally taken a blood sample, and it was taking a while to load through the computer.
A small beeping sound sounded thought the air. It beeped for two counts then stopped.
"Supposedly your blood is all clear." Batman raised an eyebrow," That can't be right." He swiftly began typing on the computer keyboard. Two more beeps sounded through the air as the scan completed once again," There is nothing in your blood. The scan says you are all clear."
How could that be? Dick thought. If my blood was clear shouldn't I remember everything? Why can't I remember anything if my blood is all clear?
"Maybe the computer is wrong?" Dicks voice squeaked. His hope was slowing deflating like a balloon with a small hole in it. He actually thought this would be the lead to find his kidnapper, but if even the bat computer couldn't find anything then were they ever going to find this guy? Would this criminal get away with his wrongs, and just end up living a normal life.
On top of that Bruce still hadn't found Tony Zucco. He wasn't sure if he wanted to continue with this case if it halted the Tony Zucco search.
"I doubt the computer is wrong."
"Maybe you should check. You know, it could be malfunctioning."
Bruce sighed as a sign of annoyance," Fine, I'll check for any bugs or broken parts.
"Thanks..." Dick yawned as he watched Bruce checked if all the systems were working properly.
He began to grow very tired; rubbing his eyes trying to stay awake. And Bruce of course took notice to this.
"Dick you should go to sleep."
"I'll be fine. Can't I stay awake at least until you find out what's wrong the blood scan?"
"No, you have school tomorrow. You should really go to bed."
Dick groaned as he began to get up," Fine, fine, fine, but don't do anything cool with out me." Dick headed towards his room lazily. Ugh, school tomorrow.
