Hidden (Young Justice/Batman&Robin fanfic)

Nightmares?

The team had already got back to the mountain (They arrive back from the mission late at night), taken the kids to social services, and even gave a full mission report to Batman. Artemis, Kaldur, Robin, and Kid Flash were just getting a few things before they left for home. M'gann and Connor on the other hand were getting ready for bed.

"Well, I gotta go. See ya tomorrow!" Kid Flash said leaving through the zeta tubes," Kid Flash B03. "

"Same here!" Robin too walked through the tubes," Robin B01."

"Goodbye," Kaldur waved leaving," Aqualad B02."

Artemis being the last one muttered goodnight, and them left," Artemis B07."

Dicks P.O.V.

~"The wires! Look! They are breaking," I yelled at my mom and dad who were on the trapeze at the time," Hurry! Please get on the platform," They still didn't hear me, but it was too late.

My parents eyes widened as the began to fall instead of landing safely.

"Dick!" My mother yelled right before they hit the ground. Then that terrible noise sounded through out the air.

I quickly went down the ladder, and ran to my parents tear falling from my eyes.

"Vă rugăm trezește-te! Nu mă lăsa! Astăzi ar fi trebuit să fie distractiv! (Please wake up! Don't leave me! Today was supposed to be fun!)" I felt someone pulling me away from my parents. Their blood had already soaked my outfit. I thrashed and struggled to get lose from their grip, but I couldn't...I took one last glance at my parents. They were really gone....~

3rd Person P.O.V.

"Dick its okay." Bruce soothed Dick pulling him into a hug. Dick continued crying in Bruce's shoulder. It seemed like about ten minutes before Dick asked in between sobs,"Wh-why di-did I have a... a n-ni-nightmare?"

"What do you mean?" Bruce asked concerned. Dick always had them. They weren't anything new, and Dick knew that. So why did he ask? Dick continued to cry a little before wiping his tears, and answering," Th-they only happen on bir-birthdays ... And they time... He... Zucco... Escaped."

Bruce eyes widened slightly. Now that he thought about it Dick did only have them on either his parents or his birthday, and that one time Tony Zucco escaped. The time Robin made Bruce promise that if Tony Zucco did ever get out again he would tell him.

"Dick... I need to tell you something." Bruce began sighing. Maybe telling him now wasn't a good idea. He just re-watched his parents die in his dream.

The young boy perked his head up," W-what?"

Bruce sighed again," Well, it's that t-," Now at this moment Bruce considered telling Dick that Zucco had escaped. He really did, but something stopped him. He still didn't want Dick getting hurt," It's that... You can always come to me with problems. Don't worry I'll be here to listen." Bruce said feeling guilty. Dick nodded a small smile on his face," Thank you,"

Bruce simply nodded feeling even worse. He had to tell him at one point, but he didn't know how. He had to find out quick, because he did promise Dick he would tell him.
