After our day at Diagon Alley, my dad decided to take me back to the Leaky Cauldron for a bit. I was a tad overexcited and was running around like a four year old. I was so hyper, I didn't know where I was running at.
"Naomi, watch out!"
"Wha–oof!" I stumble back and landed on my back like an idiot. "Ouch.." I mumbled.
"Woah! Are you okay?"
I look up and my eyes met with beautiful, hazel brown ones. A boy stood before me with his hand extended for me to grab. He had fire-like hair, with light skin and freckles, and a wonderful smile.
I felt heat rise on my cheeks. I don't know why but, I just huffed and picked myself up. I immediately regretted the way I acted and apologized.
"Sorry for my rudeness, thank you for your gesture. I'm Naomi, Naomi Lockery." I take his still extended hand.
- Fred -
A bit confused by her quick change of personality, I still shook her hand. It was really soft. "Pleasure, I'm Fred Weasley."
I got a better look at her. She had light, sun skin, dark brown hair and eyes. Her hair was cut boy short on one side and was semi-long on the other. What caught my attention was her freckles. They were barely recognizable but you could still see them.
"Oi, Freddie!" I hear my brother call. "What's the hold up?" He came up behind me and saw Naomi. "Oh, hello!"
"Hi!" She smiled. It was adorable.
"I'm George Weasley-"
"He's my twin brother."
"Really? Your pretty easy to tell apart, you know?"
Suddenly, her dad came running to her. He looked an awful lot like Naomi. Soon enough, our family came over too.
"Hello, sir," dad started. "I hope our boys aren't bothering you and your daughter."
"Oh no, Mr. Weasley, they're not!" Said Naomi. "I was the one who bump into your son, I'm sorry."
- Time Skip -
Our families became friends real quick and now we were at the Leaky Cauldron. Both of our families sat at a large table and chatted. Our parents were actually talking with Naomi's father and it was my siblings and I talking with Naomi.
Our beverages came by and were passed around. George and I got cranberry juice, Ron and Ginny asked for pumpkin juice, and Percy ordered a normal glass of water. Then came the Lockery's drinks. Naomi's father asked for a pint glass of Butterbeer and a small bottle of Pumpkin Juice. She got the juice and her dad got the beer glass. Naomi was a bit nervous to drink whatever she got, but tried it nonetheless. Her eyes lit up with amazement.
"Wow, t-..this is delicious!"
"What, you've never had Pumpkin Juice before?" Ron asked.
She shook her head, "no, I'm a muggle-born, you see? I've never been associated with magic before. That was until last year, when I started to show magic."
"How did that turn out for you?" Percy added, taking a sip of his water.
"Not that well. At first, I accidentally sent paint and art supplies at a girl, named Emily, and her friends, covering them in colors. They called me a freak and that just increased the bullying." She looked down like she was ashamed for what she was.
George and I each wrapped an arm over her shoulder in comfort, "hey that's okay."
"She had it coming, one way or another."
"Look on the bright side," Ginny added, "you'll be able to control your abilities when you get to Hogwarts!"
"And we'll be there to help you!" Ron statted. "All of us!"
Naomi smiled brightly. "Thank you.."
