The train was nearing Hogwarts and we hadn't gotten into our robes yet. I lightly shook Naomi to wake up, she tiredly opened her eyes and rubbed them.
"Are we there yet?"
"No, but we're close." George answered.
"We should be getting dressed before then. We're going to step away for now while you dress into your robes."
"Just come out when you're done, okay?"
"Alright."
My brother and I left the compartment, closed the curtains for her privacy and leaned against the wall. Out of somewhere, Lee Jordan approaches us. We had a small conversation when Naomi came out of the room, allowing our turn to change. George knocked on the door, signaling that we were done and Naomi and Lee stepped in.
I noticed that Naomi's tie was undone and so I volunteered to help her. I could feel the stares that George, and possibly Lee, were giving me from behind, causing me to blush. I was sorta close to Naomi's chest and it was pretty awkward.
The train finally stopped and we walked out to the platform. Hagrid, a tall, giant man, was calling for the first years to follow him and lead them to the boats. Naomi parted from us, following the half giant. I hope she'll get sorted into Gryffindor...

I followed the rest of the first years to the boats, going across the Black Lake to the castle ahead. I sat in a boat with the girl from earlier in the train. Along with, the boy I heard of, Neville, and I believe a second year girl.
She was pale, with light, obvious freckles scattered all over her face. Had light brown hair, that was ruffled, and jade eyes. She wore robes that had a green inside and her tie was green and silver. She also wore a dull, grey beanie with a pin with a snake on it. The girl began drawing in her sketchbook and I took interest.
"That's looks amazing!" I compliment.
A bit surprised by my voice, she held the book close to her chest.
"Oh, sorry." I apologized. "Your art just caught my attention, sorry, again..I'm Naomi Lockery!" I lent my hand.
She was kinda hesitant, but shook my hand. "I'm Thelma Boise, but I prefer Temmie or Tem."
I had a wonderful chat with Thelma until we got to the castle. We parted ways as I went with the rest and we stood in front of Professor McGonagall, the lady who brought me the letter.
"Welcome to Hogwarts." She said firmly. "Now, in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses." She explained. "There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points, any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is rewarded with the House Cup–"
"Trevor!"
Neville cried out to his toad. He quickly picked up his pet and shuffled his way back into the small crowd, embarrassed. A few kids laughed but, Hermione and I gave a sympathetic look.
"The Sorting Ceremony will begin shortly.." McGonagall gave a final glace as she walked through the great doors.
Barely seconds go by and a boy with blond, slicked back hair spoke up. I believe he's the same brat from Diagon Alley. "So it's true then, what they're saying saying on the train?" All students faced him with curiosity. "Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts."
I heard about the famous Harry Potter from the twins but, didn't think he would be here for real! Murmurs started to speak in a disbelief sound.
The blond motioned his head towards to other young males beside him, "this is Crabb and Goyle," he stepped forward. "And I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."
Ron let out a small snort. Malfoy snapped his head at him with an angry glare. "Think my name's funny, do you? No need to ask yours!" He stared him down. "Red hair and a hand-me-down robe? You must be a Weasley!"
"Hey, back off!" I stand between the two. "Don't get too cocky, you're also a first year. So don't act like you run this joint!"
Malfoy was taken aback but came to a sudden realization. "I know you, you're the one who tamed that psycho bird. You act just like it!" He turned his head back to Harry. "You'll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others. You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort! I can help you there."
He offered his hand to Harry, awaiting his answer. Harry denied him, saying that he can tell the wrong sort for himself. Professor McGonagall came behind Malfoy, tapping him with a rolled up parchment. All Draco did was send a glare at Harry before returning to his own spot.
"We're ready for you now, follow me."
As a crowd, we walked into the Great Hall. It was so beautiful! Hermione mentioned that the ceiling was just an illusion casted by a charm, which kinda ruined the feeling, but was good info. We stopped at the front waiting to be sorted. But we had to listen to a few words by the headmaster. After that, our names would be called out.

The Gryffindor table was thrilled when the Harry Potter was sorted into our house. George and I chanted rubbing it in everyone's face. One by one, more students wore sorted into their houses, and Naomi was last.
"And finally, Naomi Lockery."
She sat at the stool as the hat was placed on her head.
"Aha, you're quite a tricky one, aren't you?" The hat said aloud. "Very ambitious and creative. Also brave and kind. A glittery personality but, with a secret, dark mind hidden within you. Hmm, I think it would have to be..."
Gryffindor...Gryffindor...–
"SLYTHERIN!"
My brothers and I gasped. There was no way she'd be in Slytherin. Never in the history of Hogwarts has there ever been a muggle-born in that house!
Naomi went to her table, sitting next to a girl she seemed to be familiar with. The house having no idea about her blood status congratulated her and gave her pats on the back. She turn her head at me with a sad look. And we knew from this day forth, we would be enemies with no stopping it....
