My father and I left Gringotts and he showed me to Olivander's Wand Shop. I dinged the small bell on the desk and waited for an answer. An elderly man approached the front desk with a friendly smirk.

"I was wondering when you'd be here," he started, "Ms. Lockery."

"Hi.." I waved shyly.

"Well let's see what wand is fitting for you. May I see your hand?" I looked back at my dad and he nodded. I reached out my right hand to the man, he had a concentrated look, "Hmm? I think I have it.."

He went and grabbed a slender box and pulled out the wand contained within it. "Give it a wave, dearie."

I did as so, but I accidentally broke a vase. "I'M SO SORRY!" I quickly apologized.

"Oh, it's alright, Ms. Lockery!" He insisted. "...hmm, when is your birthday?"

"July, 27th."

"I see.." he reach for another wand box on a high shelf, he stopped. He came back down and have me the wand. "Alder wood, 12 1/2 inches, and phoenix feather core."

I gave it a wave, preparing to break something, but it never came. In fact, came out purple light threads and silver sparks.

"It seems, we found the right fit." He grinned.

After buying my wand, we went to go get my other supplies. My books, quills, parchment paper, notebooks, robes, and other essentials. And finally, we got to the pet store. My dad was a bit skeptical about this. We already had a dog at home and I wanted a cat and owl. So, we made a deal. I would get an owl for now and if I made great progress in my classes and exams, I will be permitted to have a cat. I agreed.

I step into the store and saw incredible creatures. As I was searching for the right pet, a brown and white owl few above my head. I ducked down and watched as it soar. (This is the owl.)

A boy with blond, slicked back hair shouted at the bird, saying that it was a rotted beast and stormed off. I sent a glared at him from behind.

The owl was flapping it's wings in offence. I slowly stepped in front of the beautiful thing and held out my arm. It was cautious at first but, flew down and landed on my head, letting out a cheery screech.

"I like you!~" I giggled. "Dad, I want this one."

"The barn owl? Okay, how much?" My dad asked the clerk.

"That owl has been petty at other costumers since we got him," explained the clerk. "We were about to let it out into the wild but, it appears that you have tamed it. Just take him free of charge!" She insisted.

"Really?! Thank you!" I thanked her and we left.

"What are you going to name him, Naomi?" My dad curiously asked.

"I think...Dr.!" My owl screeched. "Dr. Hoo!"
