Jimin POV

"JUNGKOOK I SWEAR TO GOD YOU ARE DRIVING ME INSANE!!" I clutched my hair, anger and fear coursing through my veins.

December 18...

I have four days.

"Hoseok... I need triple security on him. Oh wait, who's this?"

"Oh sorry! I'm Lee Taeyong, a new addition to the team. I'm supposed to help you exploit Jungkook and his cult."

"Are you Kim Seokjin's stepbrother by chance?"

"Uh Yes."

"Well, lets get to work. I'll need triple security on him, and on Taehyung and his family. There needs to be an advancement made on gun designs and I can personally monitor him in the cell."

Everyone scrambled to work, trying to follow through with new details on the cult and how there was a spotted member near downtown.

I stayed back, getting to know Taeyong.

"He doesn't seem like he's going to talk and he hasn't met me yet. What if I try?"

"I'll be ready in case he attacks you." He smiled gratefully.

"Oh? Someone new? Greetings, I'm the psychotic Jeon Jungkook. Be warned."

"Well, Mr. Jeon, I have a few questions."

"Before that starts... how did you get on this team?"

"I'm sorry?"

"Why did you add an addition to the team Jimin? I thought it was only going to be us this time... like you promised all those years ago?" Jungkook slammed his hands on the table, startling Taeyong.

Everyone stared at me, wondering what he was talking about.

"The question is... will you be attempting escape on December 18?"

"Oh Jimin... such a fool but it's beauty in my eyes."

I started writing down a connection.

"... it's sheer beauty in their eyes..."

"It's beauty in my eyes..."

Who's the significant other?

"Answer the question Mr. Jeon."

"No, I won't be able to. I wasn't even planning on as the day of my life or death trial is December 19 and I want to know if I survive this hell hole or not."

"How did I fall into this hell hole?"

"... if I survive this hell hole or not."

Why is Jeon acting weird about this hell hole? Is the hell hole the prison, or the feeling of being neglecting?

"I'm assuming you want escape?"

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't."

"Maybe I want the same, maybe I don't..."

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't..."

Puzzle pieces clicked in my head.

"It's a simple yes or no answer."

"Well I confirmed a promise a very long time ago, about loyalty, yet you betrayed me... you said forever Park, this isn't forever anymore."

"Promise me, we'll be together forever and you will never hate me even after you find out my secret. The forever will only last if you love me the same after as long as we have to wait..."

"You said forever Park... this isn't forever anymore."

"Mr. Jeon... why are you so hung up on loyalty and betrayal?"

"Because, it's so risky to survive when there is no true devotion. You will be screwed in a place of predators if you cannot prove devotion. The more devotion shown, the faster you can grow and survive in the food chain. The power drives adrenaline and we all crave that."

"The more devotion shown, the faster you can grow and survive in the food chain."

"What happened to pure devotion Park? What happened to loyalty because all that drives my adrenaline, is not power and instead is betrayal... everyone hates the horrid feeling of betrayal, and you should know what drives me to the edge..."

"I'm sorry, devotion? Why is that key for adrenaline?"

"If one craves power, they need followers to feed its craving. If those followers can only do what their leader has requested and not hesitate once, the leader feels the power coursing through their veins. The more power they feel, the stronger the can feel and that's all it needs to take over. Devotion will drive everything into chaos and that chaos needs to be picked back up. It'll just be rebuilt in a way that suits the leader."

"Devotion is the key to adrenaline."

"If you want power, you will first be devoted to only me, only then will you gain control..."

"Times up... you'll be seeing more of me so you better get used to it."

I replayed every single moment of their conversation in my head, glancing over at my notes that connected with my memories.

There's so many hidden meanings he tried teaching me before I lost it and left him...

Why can't I understand them after years?

"I know you're there Jimin, and I know you hate everything happening, but soon enough, this will all be over... and that devotion of yours will belong to only one person."

"You won't win this battle... not again."
