I worked for a week and during that time Zach had taken me home each night and I, secretly, tried to find out about my parents, but I had found nothing.

I lay against the wall of the mill that night, thinking of ways I could learn about my parents. I couldn't think of anywhere where my parents files would be. Then it hit me. Susan would have to have a file on me and my parents.

The files would be at the orphanage. I have to go back.

The next morning, I walked to the the coffee shop. Jessica greeted me as I walked in.

"Good morning," I replied.

I drank my hot chocolate and got to work. 8:30 came, and I was about to tell Zach about my plan. But then I realized: Zach didn't know I ran away from the orphanage.

I kept quiet and I think he knew I was hiding something from him, but he didn't say anything.

It was 10:48 and like every night, Zach and I was cleaning up, but he seemed to be in a slight hurry, ever since he checked his phone a little bit earlier.

"You got somewhere to be?" I asked, as we were cleaning up the tables.

"Um, no, not really."

I raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, I've got a closer cousin in the hospital and I want to go check on them," he confessed and walked over to the table I was cleaning.

"Oh, go head. I'll finish cleaning up and lock up," I said.

"But you need a ride home."

"No that's okay. I'll walk. I only live a few blocks away."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. I'll be fine."

He gave me a grateful look and suddenly I felt his arms around me.

"Thank you so much," he said, as he hugged me. The next second he let go and started walking towards the door.

"Um, Zach?"

He quickly turned around,"yeah?"

"Keys?" I smiled.

"Oh right." He stuck his hand in his pocket and tossed them to me.

"See ya tomorrow," he said as he ran out the door.

"See ya," I whispered, bit I had a small feeling that I wouldn't see him.

I shook off the feeling and finished cleaning up, then locked up the place.

I was walking in the small residential area, enjoying the cool night. Suddenly, I felt this searing pain in my left calf. I fell to the ground and next thing I know everything went black.
