A.N. Greek and Egyptian mythology was made up (except for the goddess names) in this story to fit the theme of the oneshot. I don't want technical comments about, "actually..." or, "what really happened was..." I made it up on purpose, I don't care about what really happened. :) This is all a fragment of my imagination!

Like the lost lovers of Aphrodite and Hathor, Jin was afraid he was destined to the same fate.

Kim Taehyung was never one to speak out in any circumstance. Whether he needed to speak in class or speak up for himself, he never did. He couldn't even speak up for anyone else, which was why he had few friends. He was shy, yes, but it was more of a social-anxiety-super-awkward kinda thing.

Tae had only two friends, Jimin and Jungkook. They were the only two people he trusted. The only problem—his two best friends were dating. Each other. That left him as the third wheel. Of course.

He didn't want to let his friends know that he felt awkward hanging around with them together, because that was rude and would only make matters worse. He just needed to try and have fun with them while also not feeling like he was intruding on a date. Which was basically how he felt all the times the three boys hung out.

But other than his two friends, Taehyung mainly kept to himself. He never talked to anyone, even if it was his teacher. Of course he talked to his parents, but they were different. They found that his shyness was adorable and should be taken lightly. His teachers found it annoying and the people around him at school found it weird.

There was one boy in particular who was fascinated with Tae, for reasons that Tae could never know. Seokjin, known as Jin, was his name. He hung around with the school's nicest kid—Hoseok, who was given the cute name of Hobi by his closest friends. The two were in separable, except when Hobi was with his boyfriend, Yoongi. Yoongi was an...interesting kid.

Anyway, Tae had no idea why Jin had an interest in him. He would always try talking to him, trying to break his shell like his best friends did. But Tae kept to himself and only spoke to Jungkook and Jimin. He didn't even talk to Hobi. And lord only knows why anyone would dare speak to Yoongi. The kid was unique.

There were so many other boys in the school that could be more fascinating to Jin. Jin was pretty high up on the social and popularity level of the school, with Hobi. Tae was all the way at the bottom. Jimin was pretty popular, and he was good friends with Jin. But Jungkook and Tae were not very popular. So why did Jin have such an interest in him? Why was Jin trying to be his friend when he'd barely uttered a word to anyone other than his best friends and parents?

Tae always thought that Jin would like Namjoon. Namjoon was the school's hottie. He was the most popular person in the school. All the girls wanted him, hell, even the boys wanted him! Who wouldn't? Namjoon was the whole package; handsome, smart, funny, and kind.

But Jin still bothered Tae.

"Taehyungie!" Tae jumped at the sound of Jimin's voice.

"Yes?" He whispered so no one would hear him. Jimin sighed. The boy was never going to get better.

"Speak up. Jungkook and I are going out for coffee after school. Want to come?" Tae cringed at the words "going out".

"No thank you, I have homework. You two have fun." He said with a scrunched nose. Jimin sighed.

"Tae, how many times do I have to tell you that you're not intruding?"

"I didn't say I was."

"I know what you're thinking. Anyone can read you." Tae jumped for the second time at Jungkook's voice behind him. He spun around and sighed when he saw Jungkook with his arms crossed.
