Arthur reached out to me at the end of the summer. We were both in separate colleges when he reached out to me. I felt this bubbly feeling in my stomach when I saw his call number appear on my iPhone. It had felt like months since I had last heard from him, and maybe it was. I had spent so many brain cells on working and school assignments I felt like an hour not dedicated to physical and mental work was the waste of an hour.

Wow. Arthur was right. I did gain enough smarts to get into college. If felt like that one summer I had summer school really did pay off. After that year of almost failing, I ended up trying my best to get at least a C+ in each class. Which for me, was a stretch. Eventually, it paid off as a local community college liked my college essay, and let me take a few years.

Back to Arthur, I had no idea what he was doing with his life, I only knew the information I had gained from his Instagram. He had gotten into his dream school, Yale and was living life. As far as I could tell. I looked back to the screen, holding up to my ear.

"Hey, can we talk?" Arthur blurts the second I picked up. I laughed, missing Arthur and his personality.

"Aren't we talking right now?" I teased, enjoying Arthur's laugh in my ear. God, I missed that laugh of his. His laugh gave me a feeling of warmth throughout my body. I wish I could reach through the phone and hug him, or kiss him. I just wanted to touch or be touched by him physically. Even though we weren't technically together, I always had a special place in my heart for him.

Who knows? Maybe we could even get back together...
