“You can put your stuff there, since you’ll be spending most of your time on the bus while I do interviews with the band.” He shoves me towards the back of the bus, where there’s a room with everyone’s belongings.

I don’t really have much, except the things that Luke got me; mainly a few changes of clothes and my new phone. And some of the money I made from work.

Speaking of work, I didn’t even tell my boss I was leaving. But I guess you have to know you’re leaving to be able to tell someone else.

“Can you hurry up?” his irritated voice speaks as he pokes his head through the door. I can see myself spending a lot of time back here since there’s a video game system, some books, a guitar and a television with a DVD player.

“I’m coming.” I quickly put my bags down and go out, to find Luke standing by the refrigerator. He smiles when I walk out and pulls me in for a hug. I tense; but hug him back. I think he notices though, because he frowns when I pull away.

“What’s wrong?” he runs his thumb over my bottom lip. I don’t know how to act around him now that he hit me. He apologized so much after it happened, and I forgave him because he seemed sincere when he said he didn’t mean to.

But I’m pretty sure it will happen again though, if it’s anything like when my father would hit me. I’ll just lead my life trying not to upset him and everything will be fine.

Now most people would ask me why I chose to go on tour with him, and why I didn’t just run after he hit me the first time. And the answer’s simple really. I have nothing else. My family wants nothing to do with me and I have zero friends. And that’s absolutely terrifying; having nothing. It’s a powerful motivator. Because at least I know Luke will take care of me.

It’s the perfect set up for someone like Luke, I guess; finding a nobody, I mean.

“N-nothing,” I stutter, but he tilts my chin up so his icy blue eyes meet my dulled ones.

“You know I’m sorry, Luci,” he stresses, parting his legs and pulling me into them, towards his chest. “I just…I got so upset. It was so stupid, and I’ve been hating myself ever since.”

“I know, Luke,” I mumble, because I honestly don’t know what else to say. He places a kiss on the top of my head and runs his long fingers through my thick brown curls.

“Your hair is so beautiful, Luc,” he whispers into my hair and I just nod.

The door to the tour bus flies open then, and in walks Ashton, Michael, Calum and their manager-who I guess Luke had to practically beg for me to be able to stay on the bus. But honestly, I would have been fine hotel hopping like I was before. This whole setup just doesn’t make any sense because he said he couldn’t hang out with me all the time before because the fans would suspect something. And now he wants me to live with him? I just don’t get it.

“Oops. We’re really not sorry if we’re interrupting anything,” Calum chuckles and Luke rolls his eyes, but still holds me close to his body. I feel Ashton looking at me, but I can’t bring myself to make eye contact with him; not after what happened the last time I interacted with him.

“5 minutes, Luke,” their manager says, before grabbing some papers and making his way back out of the bus. The other guys come to the fridge-causing us to have to move-and grab water bottles before heading towards the front of the bus.

“Aww guys, I’m sad! Luci’s deffo gonna steal Luke away from us now!” Calum whines, to which Michael rolls his eyes and Ashton grabs his arm and pulls him out of the bus. Luke just chuckles, before bringing his lips down to mine.
