Chapter 9: Beautiful Eyes

Lauren's POV

When I was done singing I looked at Camila and she was bawling her eyes out. She tried to wipe away her tears but they just kept streaming down her face. When she tried to speak it came out in blubbering gasps so I put my finger over her mouth and shushed her.

"It's ok Camz, let it out kiddo"

"You h-ave a l-love-ly voice Lo-Lo"

"Thank you. I didn't mean to make you cry Camzi I'm sorry"

All of the sudden she has her arms wrapped around me an shes crying into my shoulder. She mumbled something into my neck but I couldn't understand her hiccupy gasps of air and english.

"What did you say?"

"I lo-ve you Lo"

"I love you too Camz, why are you still crying?"

"B-cause Lolo you're my only fr-iend and you're so amazing and no ones ever sang to me before and your voice is so perfect and everything about you is perfect an I just love you Lauren you're perfect."

Camila's POV

By the time I was done rambling my eyes were finally dry (•~•) and my breathing was moderately normal again. Lauren was holding me in her lap and lightly rocking back and forth while stroking my back gently. I didn't want to let go of her so we stayed like that until-to my sadness-Lauren pulled away from me. She looked at me with something I've never seen before and started talking. I saw her lips move and I knew I should have been listening but I couldn't escape the look in her eyes.

"Camila are you even listening to me?"

"Of course I am Lauren"

"What did I just say then?"

"Um...you asked if I was listening..."

Apparently that wasn't what Lauren had wanted me to say because she frowned and gave me an upset pouty glare. She back away from me a little bit and looked at her lap. I guess she was saying something important and I blew it.

"Okay. I'm sorry for not listening Lauren but I get distracted really easily. I got distracted by your eyes and the way you were looking at me...I didn't mean to upset you or anything. I'm just not good at staying focused and paying attention."

Lauren's POV

I pour my heart out to her and she doesn't listen. I tell her she's beautiful and she doesn't listen. I ramble about my feelings for her even though we've only just met, and of course she wasn't listening. Obviously I'm hurt because I was talking for a good 8 minutes or so and she was just looking at me like the adorable cupcake she is.

"Okay. I'm sorry for not listening Lauren but I get distracted really easily. I got distracted by your eyes and the way you were looking at me...I didn't mean to upset you or anything. I'm just not good at staying focused and paying attention."

Camila made an adorable pouty face and stared at her lap in defeat. She was distracted by the way I looked at her, but I'm distracted by the way she looks at the world.

"It's okay Camz"

"Promise Lolo? I'm really sorry."

"I promise, don't be sorry"

"Forever?"

"And ever."

"Lolo?"

"Yes Camz?"

"You have the most beautiful eyes"
