Chapter 17: Superman

Lauren's POV

It's been two days since Camila showed off her not-so-innocent side and made me stay home from school. We did nothing the entire day, except take Sofi to school and watch movies.

Ever since I found out about Camila being bullied she's been quieter and more fidgety. I want to protect her and help her, but I'm not sure how. So this morning I did something for her.

As I rang the door bell to Camila's house and held the puppy against my chest, I realized how dumb this might be. I bought Camila a puppy. Does her family even allow pets? What about dog food? All I gave him was a little cape and some food at the shelter when I picked him up.

"Hey bab--YOU GOT A PUPPY?!" Camila brought me back to reality and hugged the little puppy.

"Actually Camz...he's mine and yours..."

Camila backed up and stared at me. Well shit Lauren.

"Lauren you got us a dog?"

"Yes, I got us a puppy. Isn't he adorable?"

"Yes he's adorable, but where will we keep him? How will we take care of him? And why did you get us a dog?!"

"Um...well, if he can't stay here then he can stay at my house and I can buy some food and stuff from the shelter where I got him."

"Why did you get us a dog Lo?"

"Because I want you to have a companion when I'm not around..and because I know you love puppies and I want to make you happy. So this is Bo, and he's our new puppy. He has a little cape because he's going to rescue your heart and protect you when I can't. He'll be your own personal superman Camz"

Camila gently stroked Bo's head and kissed his nose. He liked her cheek and she giggled.

"I love him already Lolo"

I set Bo down and let him run around Camila's house. He was pouncing on everything and rolling around when Sofi came out of her room and squealed.

"KAKI DID WE GET A PUPPY?!"

Camila and I giggled while Bo jumped on Sofi and licked her while she laughed.

"Actually Lauren bought him for all of us to share. Is that ok with you?"

Sofi nodded frantically and hugged my leg.

"Thank you Lauren! I love him!"

I patted her head and grabbed Camz's hand. We sat down on the couch and spent the next couple of hours playing with Bo. Camila's parents liked him too, and said it was ok to trade off houses every week or whatever.

All I really cared about at this point was Camila's happiness. She seemed enthusiastic about Bo, and happy watching Sofi play with him. My job for the day was very successfully done.

A/N~~sorry awkward filler chapter...but how cute is Bo?? I love him omg and guys guess what? I have a date with Camila girl!!! We're going to hangout and then go to a dance lol also thank you guys so much for over 13k reads! that's crazy man.
